Everyone are free to enjoy life. But of course, if you want to enjoy life in this world you must know that it's in your hands. I mean, it's up to you what kind of life you want to have. If you choose to be, you will be happy. Remember Proverbs 23:7-For as he thinks in his heart, so is he

It is partially true that our life is entirely in our hands. Sometimes life happens no matter what we try. Yes, what's in our heart must speak for us and up until a great point life is what we make of it. We choose how we want to live, and we try our best to make it happen. We strive, we work hard to make our dreams come true, we pursue our goals with determination, and all of this - to live a good and decent life. Once we achieve it, we really enjoy the result of our efforts, i.e. the life we have built for us.
But, like I said, sometimes life just happens the way we don't want it to be, and we are forced to fight the unwanted events, so that we put things right back on the track we want them to be on.

Welcome to mylot.
Thanks for this nice discussion.
I agree partly lol.
Our life path is pre-laid by the creator, we have to follow the track, it is not in our hands freely, but we must try to enjoy to the best extent possible.

A person can't choose which country he or she is born in. It is lovely if a person likes his or her home country and feels happy being there. I feel lucky that I live in a country that has an interesting history, a beautiful coastline, picturesque villages and scenic countryside. I have always been interested in other countries. I have been able to visit around 60 of them so far in my lifetime. I feel very lucky to have those experiences. I have three lovely children and two dogs. I am happy living near to my mom and my sister. My sister has a delightful family. My life has had its excitement with my travels, having my children and being on My Lot is a wonderful way to enjoy some of my time.

I completely agree with you. Sometimes we get side tracked and start to think that we can be happy only if we have a better paying job, or if we have this or that new item. We have to step back and realize that in little ways everyday we can find happiness in our lives. It's not always easy to do when the majority of people are striving for more, more, and more. But we can continually work at it as a goal. That is a great scripture.

Yes one has the freedom to choose how to live his life. He should then work to realize it.

I do agree; life is totally up to what you make it. Not only that but your outlook can change even the (seemingly) worst of scenarios and situations around. It's fun to look at life as a challenge and that's what I try to do. Welcome to MyLot by the way!

I also completely agree with what you are telling. The sole responsibility of our life and the way we have it, is in none other than our very own hands. We should chistle out our own lives just the way the sculptor chistles a stone into a beautiful statue. There could be a few scars and mistakes here and there, but then, if you don't give up and be positive, your life will be as beautiful as a nice sculpture. You should know how to handle your life in the most possible artistic way. Problems will be there here and there to try to break us. Where is the value for happiness when you just get it like that. It is all about how effectively you handle your problems that matters the most when it comes to handling your life. Be positive and never lose hope, you will get the most out of your life.

Of course we are the crearors of our own life. Don't know what proverbs has to do with it. I'm an atheist and know that it's all up to me. Nobody else is responsible for the situation I'm in since I created it myself. And if I'm not happy with it I will have to make the right changes.
