This depends on what type of anti-virus you would like to chose - heavy or light.
But I choose Kaspersky over McAfee and Avast.
Kaspersky is not free, and not Macafee is free either, but Avast has a free version which is a good protection to use with free version of malawarebytes anti-malaware. ESET Nod32 is also a good one and better than Norton if you like it.

Why not try some free antivirus. As far as I am concerned I prefer free antivirus a lot. You can try AVG antivirus. They also have internet suite. Avast is another
such antivirus. but if you are looking for some extra features go for commercial ones. Eset is good but kaspersky internet security is the best in this category.
You cannot download these for free but they have some extended license strategy which is very good.

I always have trouble downloading free antivirus program. I never had luck with it.
The antivirus program that came with the new laptop would soon expire, and I don't want to buy a new one. Is it really that difficult to download Avast or AVG?

The best anti virus is being caution of what is happening in your computer , if you are really lazy then go for AVG then.

if your computer is a bit fast download kaspersky its the top antivirus for the PC users. ESET NOD 32 and AVG 2013 is for laptops..
if you have a premium of Norton try it, its good also

avast is one of the best which much better than microsoft? I've been this since a month ago!
Avast also trap virus from even website code including download including email (attachment and phishing)
Microsoft hardly check virus from code including emails and require much memory than avast

I would ask you to go with Kapersky antivirus which is ranked as the best in each surveys conducted by different ones. As I see it, I just used a trail one. I am well assured with the full protection offered with it. I recommend to use it.

I use norton.. since I have 7 compouters here in my cafe and many people visit all kinds of sites here. I need a good one. Ive never had a virus using norton. Of course it costs me over 100.00 per year. But well worth it....
