Will anyone consider you as a loser with no life even though you make more money than them?
Boring office jobs, supermarket jobs and etc are considered real jobs to people who have no specific skills.
Making Youtube videos, making designs and selling them as T-shirt online, selling art and etc are not considered as real jobs to this people and they think you have no life because you spend time coup up in the room in front of the computer. When in fact you do have a life outside the internet, you just use the internet as your main source of income.

I don't think people over here do think that way. A job is a job when you get payed for it. That was the way it always been. Also housewife is a job, a hard one for 24/24. If a husband should pay housewife for all the work she is doing, or should hire someone to do that work (cook, cleaning, laundry lady, baby sitter, nurse, etc) he would not be able to afford her. Volunteering jobs are seen as jobs here also. Although you get not payed for it. To my opinion every person is needed, every job is important. You will never be a director or boss if there are no people working for you. You can't be a doctor if you have no patients (btw: we do not use that word anymore it's: client! Those people PAY for your services). To me the men who collect my garbish are very important, so is the lady working in the shop, or the men outside wiping the street.

Artistic jobs usually don't get the recognition they deserve. It's true that people will secretly think to themselves that those kinds of jobs are not raelly actual work. They will get frustrations and get discouraged but if a person loves what they do, they are proud of their work and they excell in it, well I don't think they should think about what other people would say. They'd be too busy being more successful than all those judgemental freaks.

This is a common false notion on traditional non-online workers. People that doesn’t have any background with regards to online opportunities always puts their brows up most especially when someone would talk over their job as an online worker.
I too for one had some impressions on people that they thought I am not doing my life because they don’t have any knowledge about my online freelancing job.
Somehow, it’s quite annoying but as you explain to them in depth about online opportunities they will then stop their false impressions to such jobs, after all, regardless if it’s online or offline it’s still a job. The difference though is we earn by online sources.

Its all upto you that how you use the internet. If you just become an addict to it by wasting your precious time in playing games, social networking that the said statement is apt. But, if you use it to make money, as time for me is money, than i think as making internet a worth thing for life.

Well, that's different people with different thinking. I have my main source of income through internet as well but some people who visits my house says I am just wasting my time and doing those things, I don't have real life, just internet is your life and bla bla bla... where my mum never said anything to me for being online and doing jobs through internet. Not like office jobs or supermarket jobs are for those people who don't have specific skills, they to do have, but as we respect their work they should do ours too. I got fed up with people who differentiate's between real job and non real job. So I just leave them while they talk about it and I don't care about what they say, I do what I prefer myself to do and what's best for me and my family. Live the way you want, you are free, your not loser for doing what you want.

Well, if you are doing something to earn money then I would say that is a REAL job. Some people might think otherwise but I wouldn't care what they thought. If I had the skills to earn a decent amount of money off from the internet then I would love to. I love my job but this time of year when it is so cold, I just hate going out sometimes. Also, I could save a ton in gas money if I could work from home.

You're right, I've been self-employed doing various things to make money online for over 10 years and I still get asked "why don't I get a proper job" even though I make more per hour than most people I know.

I don't know about other people, but almost the same situation goes for me. I mean "almost", because I still can't make more money on the internet than the people who have "real" jobs. Most people consider "real" job when you have a job you can go to by car or bus, ouside your home, no matter where it is, a regular 9 to 5 job or shifted. Staying and working at home most people consider hoax and very often they tell me that I'm wasting my time. But I am very close to making an average salary from home, and even more, and I hope they will stop them. Because car or bus and not being at home doesn't make the job. It's what you do to make a living.

Hi friend
In my view Real Job is not everything in life ,some people may think that we are losers if we don't have real job but thinking will change from person to person not every one can get a real Job so don't worry about others word my friend do what ever you like which makes you happy but it should be in a legal way and your parents should be proud of you and every one must know you by your name .All the best in your work.

That is their definition of a job. I have worked for minimum wage with no respect. It's boring and the customers you have to be nice to even though they are lunatics leaves something to be desired. I made $200 a week working 40 hours.
This lady does all of her business online and last month made a little over $5000.00 There definition and my definition of a "real job" are quite the opposite. Anytime I can make money to put food on the table is a REAL JOB.

Hi friend, you are right, our job must be in our interest, if we are interested with computer and internet related jobs, we can do online jobs using our real skills and talents and make a good income based on our talent. It is far better than doing an unwanted job just for the earning sake. Home earners are not an inferior persons, in fact they are superior and they are the own boss for themselves and make a good income based on their creativity.

We are in 2013 now and we are now in living with Cyber era. Were people from different places communicate through internet. People who used to be like me are what the media called a Netizen. We don't see people physically but through chat and talk and live webcam. There is no difference with that.In fact.It is much safer or not life risky, because we meet new people online.I see nothing with being a freelancer. because you lived and get income without being hired and being employee with the company. The advantage of this.. you always survive your independent.Unlike in being employee If the company might be bankrupt someday or close .. then you will be force leave or resigned. plus being a regular employee your salary is limited you must follow their rules, standard and policy. So they must not underestimate our job. As we are Boss of our self..

It depends on the perspective. The internet is responsible for giving jobs (part-time or full time) to those people who have the talent to use it.Many people still scoff ta the idea of an online job but it if feeds your family and augment your financial need,s ti is a big deal. AT least, there are other people who appreciate the work and willing to pay for it.

in my opinion, there ia no criteria to judge whether one is a loser or not only by a stable job. everyone have their own choices they all will find the suotable way for their own development.
of course, working in office has the advantages freelansers do not have, they may meet more people and get the systematic training from the company.

That's what the people used to think. If you have no job or profession, then you're considered as a loser in life. They just won't accept that there are better source of income than theirs without being in a company or any employment stuffs.
Have a nice day and happy mylotting! :)

Wouldn't worry to much about what other people think. No matter how you make your money you have to work hard to get it. It shouldn't matter if you work from the comfort of you own home and not in some office. Most office employees are working at a computer anyhow.
