Professors who can't hold their anger toward their students

I have seen videos through the internet of professors/teachers who harm their students physically. It disgusts me to see that some of them are even professors of reputable universities in my country. What's your take on this? Shouldn't they undergo psychological tests first before allowing them to teach in schools? Just my thoughts 'cause it's becoming a trend nowadays regarding the violence towards students of any age.
