So I love animals and I try to do everything I can to help one in need. I tried to foster for the animal shelter, but then realized that I have to give them back. I fostered two little babies who were ferral and scared, and raised them to be loving handsome little kids who had a lot of energy.
Then came the day that I had to give them back and I was so heartbroken it was too much to handle. I haven't fostered since and don't think I can do it again. I wish I wasn't that way. I know that what I did for them was give them another chance but I get too attached. I hope one day I can be stronger and keep helping those little guys..

I foster cats and dogs. I also transport. I'm usually ok with letting them go, but not always. I have 4 dogs and 3 kittens that are foster failures. (A foster failure is a foster that you decide to give a forever home)
It's not easy and not for every one, but the satisfaction of giving a pet a chance at being saved is worth the pain of letting go.

Don't feel too bad because that's exactly why I never thought of fostering any pets myself. Like you I get too attached & I know that my heart would be broken when the time came to give them up. So you see your not alone. It just shows that you have a big heart when it comes to animals & there's nothing wrong with that.
