I assume you are around the age of my kids. They are teenagers and they have always been open about what they like or want with us, their parents. One of them has made it clear that he wants to pursue basketball and loves to play in the NBA someday. We have always encouraged him ever since he showed that interest. At the same time, we make sure that he keeps up with his studies so that he has something to back him up in case he does not make it as an NBA player.

Hello Semo, sometimes it´s not easy to manage studies with sports. It´s useful when your school gives you the chance to practice your favorite sport.
Do you have a plan to be football player?
My cousin enrolled in a good football team, and his family was very happy and encouraged him.
Blessings Semo... dainy

Hi semo,
Why can't you tell it to them? Are they against it? If you really want to be a football player then your family should be the first to know about it and I think that you can do both, studies and football, as long as you know how to manage your time properly.Good luck to you semo

I was into water polo, and my parents didn't let me continue the sport because the training consume too much time. I didn't get much time to study. My parents discouraging me from playing polo as soon as i started to be in the state team.. I quit the sport till i finish school. Right now, I've graduated and I'm training under the state team. I know that I should put effort in my studies and I quit the sports for a while.
Talk to your parents. Seriously!! Discuss together and find a way. ^^
