Hello Tushavi! I do like online shopping. I do not do it very often but it is a good way for me to find things that I can't find elsewhere like DVD's, CD's or old movies and books etc. I understand where you are coming from though. I have never bought clothes or shoes online before and I honestly don't think I will. Even if I find something that looks nice I still prefer to touch it and try it on so I understand what you mean. I think online shopping is good, especially in my country, like this we have acess to this on the "outside world". The only thing i might not buy is clothes. Like you say, sometimes i like to see the fabric and the size and everything but there are other thing that you can buy on the net that is awesome. For example i cant buy any manga books where i live because they dont exist in any store here so i need to order them online. If not i wouldnt get what i wanted.

Earlier I was wary of online shopping. But now I do a little bit of online shopping. I don't usually buy clothes. Though I want to, I have the same doubt as you...what about the quality of the material? what about the sizes? I keep considering buying material that I can stitch. Scared to take the first step, though. I've bought a mechanical pencil sharpener, a robotics kit, a few toys for the kids, books, wallet, etc. online...and have been totally satisfied.

There are benefits to both shopping in person and shopping online. When shopping in person, like you say, allows shoppers to touch the products and find out if it is a good item or not. Online shopping is beneficial too because it is convenient because we can shop without leaving our house. We can buy all types of items online, bedding, clothes, food and such, without having to leave the house and search for these different stores. I guess it depends on the person if they prefer one type of shopping or the other.

I've never bought clothes online, but I have bought by catalog which is about the same, except it takes longer to get your purchase. I have never had any problems with anything I bought. I have bought other things online because the price is usually better. Also, there are things I can get online that I can't get in the stores. Check the online stores return policy if you ever think about buying online, just in case the item of clothing doesn't turn out to meet your expectations.

I know what you are feeling about Online shopping my friend. I too, don't like online shopping, particularly when it comes to clothes, bags and shoes. I am one person who would want to feel the quality of the material , be able to fit it outright and see if it looks good in me. Most of all, i don't want my credit card to be used online because a lot of scams could be done when people can just see and know its account number. Besides, i like to shop!

that's where trust comes in when it comes to websites. if the site has a good reputation then thoughts like this don't really bother me.

I think that is a difference between the different kinds of online shops. It is not a problems to buy certain things online for instance books or cds because you don't have to worry about picking the wrong size or the wrong colours (sometimes the colours look different online) I know that many people buy clothes online, but personally I haven't tried it. I prefer to see the clothes in person and maybe try them on before I decide if I want to buy them or not and I find it hard to make a decision based on a picture that I have seen on the internet. That is main reason why I don't buy clothes or shoes online.

I do not clothes from the net. I want to see and fit the dress so online shopping for dress is not for me as well. But for other things like kitchen wares, mugs and decoration- it's fine with me and I have done a hundred orders already.

I am disabled so online shopping is good for me. One of the drawbacks though is that you can't feel the fabric or whatever. Also sometimes the shipping is more than the item! I do like to read the reviews though. Even if I am not going to be buying online. I have read the reviews, and then go to the store.

Starting an online shopping business is a great idea, I have been buying stuff from them for years now and if the site is local you get free shipping if you spend an amount of $25 or over and your items are delivered the next day. You should try selling other things that are not clothes for starters and if your business grows you can think about expending. If your country has sites similar to e-bay I think that a great place to start.

But i think online shopping is not to good because there is a risk of misuse of your credit card or debit card or any other source of payment. You can start your own online shopping website but you need to purchase a website and a designer and some capital or take source from other website. good luck

you have a point but most of the online shopping are more cheaper than the usual if your going to compare it FOR SOME since they given a lot of sale and promos. I guess online shopping are for those very people busy who don't have time for shopping or ha a strange schedule wherein malls are already close after their work. But I couldn't agree more that brand new appliances, plane tickets, mobiles, gadgets, restaurants and getaway travel such hotel accommodations are good to purchase online.

I have been shopping online for years and love it. I don't drive and buses are few and far between so it makes it easy for me having purchases mailed to me. I've never had a problem with sizes.

you make sense to me. i agree that online shopping is a craze that is still confounding me. i think this is where the gender differences come in. for men in general, it does not make sense to buy something without seeing or touching the product. for women in general, it is ok to see online the product and they purchase it. there may be other factors why this is so.

I don't shop for clothing online for two reasons--one is that nearly every manufacturer sizes differently and a size 10 made by one may be a size 8 when made by another. There are no consistent standards in clothing manufacture. The second reason is cost--I usually buy my clothes at the thrift store, a place where people donate the clothes they've outgrown or no longer use. I can get a shirt there for $3 that would cost $25 new. And most of the clothing is very nice. I do shop online for dog food and dog treats. At Christmas and loved ones' birthdays I will shop for non-clothing gifts for them and it is very convenient--especially when it has snowed and driving is dangerous!

Well, the Internet remains the best place for information. I don't buy clothes enough to do it online, so I can't quite explain that; but I LOVES ME SOME PIZZA, and Domino's Pizza- & Pizza Hut- (and other places, I'm sure)-do online orders. But I would only order pizza if I knew I liked pizza and knew I wanted pizza. And knew which pizza I wanted. That takes 'field research.'

Online shopping is great for me.. as I lived in usa for over 12 years. I buy many things there, and have them shipped here to mexico. I wait till I have free or almost free shipping codes. Since Ive been a good client for many years, they even ship to me here. So for me they are great to have. I love shopping online.
