I was just getting tired of Facebook in general and debated about deleting my account but there are certain out of town friends and family that I keep in contact with only on facebook and they enjoy seeing my daughters pictures. So instead I deleted out a lot of people. They were all people from highschool that I am not in contact with or people that I used to work with and am not really friends with today. I'm glad I did it. I don't worry so much now about things I post or pictures in that I know those who are seeing it are actually friends of mine. Have you ever deleted people after you added them as a friend?

Hello kemak
I see no reason to delete people because you have enough options to keep them organized.
You can choose what updates you see from them (even NONE at all) and you can restrict their ability to view stuff you post by changing their status from friends to aquaintances.

that's a good way to,I try to do that one time. But i still get a lot of request, now i have over a 1000 friends. Why because i want to get views for my articles,an i want them to visit my blog.
But i set up my privacy setting so that most thing i post they don't see.But I have a lot of people from my community on my page, people from high school and even my church sisters an brothers.
So far most of them have been good friends after i get to know them .

I am tired of facebook as well so I deleted my account. I do find it a pity that many organisations now only seem to operate by facebook or twitter (don't have both) but it's for me not reason enough to keep facebook (or start twitter). I get tired of all these nonsense accounts/sites. They never gave me real new friends plus I do not feel the need to share everything with everybody. This besides of the fact everybody can find me and I have no privacy anymore. I had it with it. Tonight there was also a news item about how rude people are on facebook. Minsters were complaining about it. What I do find annoying is that now it's a serious problem because 1 minister had over 1000 scolding/insulting messages sent to his fb, but nobody and for sure not the police or the government does care if that would happen to me or just an ordinary person.

My husband pretty much got rid of everyone, ok everyone really and just keeps it so he can sign into websites. He says it is there if he ever decides to use it again.

Oh yes! i have deleted a couple of added friends and one of them even went out of his way to re-add me on list friend's list and was even asking me why i was lost in his friends list - i pretended as if i had no idea. haha i did not want to hurt him saying i do not want him seeing my updates and all... oh well he stopped asking for the "add request" approved anyway. hehe

I have deleted friends pn Facebook that weren't really friends. A few times I have deleted people who ticked me off! I currently have only 142 friends. I never have deleted more then one or two at a time. I like Facebook because I keep in contact with some of my family. I try to stay out the drama on Facebook. So I am not going anywhere!

good day to you kemak28,
I have only few friends in Facebook so I guess the point of deletion is quite far for me to do. Though there are times, I am thinking to delete some since they are not my closes friends. Perhaps, I will do that soon.

Yes, I did. Actually, I do have a lot of "friends' in Facebook but I use them for my online business. So when I post something, I customized the people who would just need to see them.

i did the same and i felt good. i realize now, they are just contacts and if they are not interested why should i be? Instead of allowing them to see my wall and posts I have deleted them. Next i have to work on my privacy options.

well for me I have deleted a some friends but not that so many as you did. I have deleted 3 or 5 because they are being rude to me or to others. well these people are not my personal friends that's why its just OK to deleted them since they are not personally known to me.

That's what I did too just a couple of days ago or I think yesterday, but I did just delete a few those I don't think I'm still friends with. I label some friends "just acquaintance and no newsfeed so that they won't flood my newfeed with their status and updates.
There are just people I don't want to be reading my statuses and looking on my tagged pictures. I don't want them to be commenting on it co's sometimes I don't like reading comment from them. hahahaha

I haven't kemak28, for I have a little more than a hundred friends in my account. They are all my relatives as well as offline friends who we know one anather well. Last week several offline friends found me on the same site and request me as friends. I haven't met them for quite some time and I'm glad to have them to keep in touch and share our photos there. I added them without any hesitation of course. It's convenient to learn more about one another recent situation in the same site
Happy posting

I haven't done that yet, because so far my friends on facebook are my closest relatives and friends only. Besides i have customized its setting , so whatever i post could only be seen by me and my group of friends at Facebook.

I haven't unfriended anyone from my FB friends for I don't care much at facebook totally. I just use facebook just to be connected with my too many friends and relatives. Well, it doesn't matter to me if my other facebook friends are not updated by my whereabouts or vice versa. I just let them as my friend and couldn't unfriend them for I don't like them to think that I don't like them. So it doesn't matter to me if they don't care about my updates, for I don't give a damn either... LOL

No i don't want to delete it. Maybe someday they have some information that I need. So I want to build solid relationship to my facebook friends, but still it is important to be friends to our own family.
