To begin with, use compress to soothe the eye. Buy, as you say, you cannot "just leave it". In fact, you should not leave it even if your both eyes were very good. Go to the doctor as soon as possible. I don{t recommend an over the counter medicine. I once did that many years ago, and it was for worse.

I{m sure it will be something minor, but it is a good idea that you go to the doctor. Take care, dear.

You may have a sty in your eye. What I would do is contact the dr. and ask for an appointment as soon as possible. You might also call a pharmacist and ask for their opinion / recommendation.
It could be as easy as get eye drops, or as drastic as antibiotics.

Don't leave it on too long but go lay down, close your eyes and put an ice pack on the area. If it's swole it will have the swelling go down.

That is weird because I had this issue about a week ago with the corner of my eye. I was confused cause I didn't do anything to hurt it.mit just started on its ow. It lasted about 5 days or so and then just went away. It was a mystery to me.

Just wondering if your eye is better, did you ever figure out what was wrong.

I think you should check from Dr. because eyes are sensitive part of our body and dont take risk about this.

Hi ricki
How are you now ? is your eye pain fine and still having pain ? is there a bump in the corner ?. I think it is due over heat in your body .If you are having severe pain try to consult a pharmacist to have eyes drops which may be useful .

Try to wrap some ice in a cloth and keep it on your eye for some time .I think this may give you some relief.

hi ricki sounds like a sty to me which normally means you probably need glasses or if you already wear them you need them changed
to stronger lens other wise the sty will come again and again. Get to the doctor and probably he will either drain it or he will put you on antibiotics to get rid of it.I had those as a kid and the thing that got rid of them for all time was getting glasses so I could read again.they come with eye strain.

I wear glasses already, and I wont see the eye doctor until may (the government only pays one visit a year - otherwise its $95 per visit). I may make an appointent with my family doctor though, he may be able to help.
Last eye visit, he said my lenses changed slightly, and I didn't need to get it changed (seeing as it's $900.00 for lenses for me), so its been a few years since getting them changed.

You must get that seen about Ricki. This could be serious if you just ignore it. I wouldn't be so worried if your eyes weren't already compromised. Hope you do go to the doctor soon.

Take it easy, you should go to the doctor's at once to see what's wrong with your eyes, and get proper treatment immediately. But don't be nervous,I bet there's nothing serious.Just pay attention with the eye health.Good luck.
