Just In Time For The Election Ban

I attended the conference on the provincial office last Wednesday and I was surprised when the Admin officer handed me an order. It was a transfer order. In short I got new assignment! I was only a month and several days on my present assignment and here is a new memo ordering me to transfer to a new municipality. Why such in a hurry?
I checked the calendar and found out that January 13, will be the start of the official election period. Starting that date, transfer from one office to the other or transfer of assignment will no longer be allowed and this can be lifted after the election. That is why the office made this order earlier.
I am lucky because my new assignment will be much nearer to my home. New place, people, new friends!

Well I think the change was good for you then. I think everybody working in the Government is affected by the the election period.
I think they do this so that there will be no politicking inside government offices especially when you have long been connected with the current administration in your LGU.

Will you be transferred back to your original workplace or will that be your permanent place of work? I sure hope that it would be your permanent place of work since as you've said in your previous post you like the place because it is nearer to your home.

Yes that is true. One reason for reassignment is to prevent familiarity which can be a cause for suspicions. But on my part, I was transferred because this particular place is really in need of additional manpower especially with the coming of election.

We were informed when we applied for this job that we can be assigned anywhere. Like in other provinces. Our region has five provinces and I can be assigned there too, which hopefully will not happen.
But I am willing to accept whatever challenge comes along.

so election period finally starts here in our country. for me election is the hottest event in our country. you know what I mean.
well good luck for your new assignment and glad to hear that your home is near to your assignment. that's nice since you will not be able to transport form a far place to another or to go back home.

I believe some things happen for a reason, we may not think so at the time and we may see it as a negative, or bad luck befallen onto us, but over time we will see it not as a negative but as a positive, I am glad that this has happened to you my friend, enjoy your new assignment and of course good luck with it I know you will do well as always!

hi there aries, indeed there are many things to happen come on monday. =) i sure think you are blessed to be transferred to another municipality and that you actually liked your transfer. im glad that your new workplace is just near your home and it would take months still before you can be transferred back or to another assignment. Yes, I am happy because of this. I hope it would be my permanent assignment already. If that happens, I would wait for years before I would be transferred to another place.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is great to hear that u would be now working near your house and that would be making your task easier. i know initially u must have felt awkward that u got a transfer very quickly but then it came in your favor and now u can work smoothly without any issues. All the best for your new assignment.

Well, if I used to travel for 68kilometers on my previous assignment, one way, this time i will be traveling for 37 kilometers. This is a big savings for me already. Hopefully, everything will be fine on this place. As you know the situation during election. There can be problems along the way.
