I have a diabetic husband. His sugar ranges from 300 to 500 which is very high from its normal rate. He was advised to take insulin but he must be hospitalized for less than a week. I don't have money to support his treatment. I want to apply for a loan but I have no regular job, only part time job. I don't know where to borrow money from. My family is in financial trouble right now.

Welcome to the Philippines. Majority of us here are in this situation but since election time is coming, people approach the government and local officials for help. They do get help there because they have this financial aid for those who need it. You just need to have a doctor's prescription, you can go to a government hospital for check up, it is for free. Then find out how you can avail of medical aid from government.

Even if your job is part time, if you're making contributions to SSS or philhealth, you can try to request for a loan. Check if you qualify. It won't hurt to try. Also, as what cutie said, you can approach your local or city government for financial aids. Give them a call and see if you can avail of this assistance. Then there's also PCSO. Ask people around as well if they have any idea for any organization that can lend financial assistance for indigent families who are in urgent need of healthcare.
