Now I am horrible for this, I will eat spicey food and my stomach will hurt, then well the next day not very happy camper.
My Mom always makes homemade soup, she hasnt this year. So she made it today, and ave me a bowl. She pours the hot peppers in from the garden.
Even though I know the end outcome, I still eat a whole bowl, and probably another tomorrow.

I won't eat any peppers cause someone told me awhile back it will make my colitis come back. Ever since then I have an aversian towards peppers of any kind even if it isn't true cause I just don't want a flare up of any kind. I do like regular peppers, but the hot peppers I won't touch on purpose, unless I don't know it's already in the food. But I won't purposely eat food that I know are made with them in it at all. I have a great amount of will power with that, and I know they are good for weightloss.

Everyone with colitis is different, I have colitis and it doesn;t affect me to that point. Now if I ate it all the time I am sure it would. But I usually only it it once in awhile. If I eat a lot of it, it does hurt my stomach and digesting, but a little peppermint tea and we are.

I guess I really have to consider myself to be very lucky because of the fact that food has never really been something that bothers me. I mean there have been times that I've accidentally gotten a hold of something that is too spicy for my taste buds, but after I take the first bite, that is the end of it, I won't eat any more of it. I've never really had problems with eating something spicy today and feeling awful tomorrow.
I think with people that do have to deal with these kinds of issues, they should try to avoid eating foods that will trigger their stomach problems.

In recent years I have started to love spicy foods. They do not like me though. I get terrible heartburn most of the time when I eat things that are spicy. It does not stop me from doing it though. Right now I am eating chips and salsa and I will probably regret it in the middle of the night.

I often get something or make something extremely spicy knowing I'll have to consume a lot of milk and take it slow.
I love spicy food, but I can't take too much spice. It doesn't tear up my stomach but I do have to be sure to be near a bathroom as I'm quick to need to use it.
I know you have colitis, is there anything you can take like beano to help before you eat the soup?

If I couldn't handle the spiciness of the food, I won't even dare to challenge it myself. Because it might upset my stomach the whole night, and I might have to get up and go to the bathroom. So, if I knew that I can't manage the spicy plate, I would never want to continue with it.

I love spicy food, though if there's one thing I don't like about some spicy food, the one thing I dislike the most would be the spices that although makes the food smell great, not only make things spicy, but they also make it black. I think they're these tiny black balls in my soup.
If it's not bitter, then there's likely no knowing where I would stop on how spicy things are.

I know what you mean. I'll eat an entire bag of chips, even though they're too salty for me.

If it makes your tummy upset, then why eat spicy food anyway?
I love spicy food. I even craved for it one time when I was pregnant with my third child. I'd be eating this certain spicy food then I would still add a few dashes of tabasco sauce! YUMMY!

I used to. Not anymore. Us mexicans love hot spicey foods, but not for me. How is your weekend?

I love spicy food. I eat it almost every day and I know I probably shouldn't, just because I do get heartburn sometimes. I don't usually have a problem of it bothering my stomach the next day though. I think for me, it will usually hit right after I eat (sometimes, not always) and then I'm fine an hour later. The biggest thing that bothers me is eating pizza late at night, I get heartburn from that.
Like someone else mentioned, I also put hot sauce on everything, but it has to be sriracha hot sauce! It's the best, in my opinion. It's just hot enough and it has a nice taste.

Iam the same way it tastes so good while you are ating it.
My roomate in college was like that, she would eat anything. I remember my sister made this pizza, and didn't realize she put these real hot peppers on it. My roomate was eating it. Took a bite of the pizza, then in sugar and a drink, repeatedly.
