How many cat climbers do you need?

Now my cats have more than one cat climber, they have one bigger one in the living room, another in the living room which is like a house on stilts, and one in the basement.
They do cost a lot at first but I will say well worth the money. They also last a long time.
My sister was saying today what will I do when I have my own place, with all these climbers. I said I wont be brining them all with me.
The one my cat loves the house, so it will come with me. The other bigger one upstairs will come with me.
The cats tend not to scratch anything else with these around, Patches does try to scratch the door frames.
They lay on them, scratch them, and they look nice in your living room .
The one is the basement broke (the top piece), I tried throwing it out, but my Dad insisted, so I will give it to them when I move out.
My sister carried on about the toys as well today, I know they have a lot of toys but they are entretained. I am trying to find a toy box for them to get it more organized, but she should be used to tripping over cat, and rabbit toys by now.
But you can see the big difference between my cats and her cat. My cats are more energetic, happy, and playful, even when I am at work, my Dad saays they entertain themselves. My sister doesn't buy a single thing for her cat, and her cat just lays there and does nothing, I think it's depressed to be honest, she use to run around with my cat, but her caat get's jealous when I play with my cats, and give them new toys.

AW!! poor kitty maybe you should try having your cats share their toys with your sisters cat. I love cats I have 2 beautiful one a male and felmale. They are so funny when they play they can be quit entertaining. We just bought our house not too long ago so we dont have any cat climbers yet but I plan on getting a least two or three my 8 year old cat when we did have them love them he'd sit preach on the top all day looking down at everyone lol. I can't wait to get them some they do have lots of toys though the kitten likes to roll them under the beds or chairs and makes the older one go fetch them for her it can be very funny especially when their on a roll.

Glad that you enjoy your cats and that you really pay attention to them. And take good care of them. I am sure that is why they are more full of energy and playful.
Enjoy your cats!

My kitten does not have a climber. I have thought about getting her one, but I would have to put it in a spot where she couldn't jump onto certain things from it. She likes to climb on things now though. She is forever getting on top of the kids organizer full of books and notepads and things.

I say one per cat really, or perhaps just three or four climbers. We don't have cats but if we did I'd invest in one, it gives them a place to play, and to sleep.
Perhaps Auntie (you) could get her cat a toy or two? Or give her cat toys that yours won't play with?
You have to keep buying toys, I mean they wear out so fast and cats do love them and attention.

Our cats have scratchers and a lot of toys, but I actually don't have a cat tree for them. We've moved so many times that I've just never added any cat furniture to our collection of belongings.
However, they do have two devoted humans who lavish attention upon them, and they have given their approval to the furniture I've bought for our newest place. They say that our double rocker is extremely comfortable to sleep on, and the table is nice to walk across.
Middle cat thinks that the top of the washer/dryer is a fun place to lurk when she's not snoozing on our bed, snoring on the blanket in the living room, watching television, running through the place and doing her leaping at the doorways to see how high she can jump, hunting the crocheted squid, stalking Mommy...
I feel sort of bad about not having a cat tree for them, but they do manage to keep themselves entertained... somehow.

I have to admit that we don't have any of the climbers for our cats in our house, but we do have a lot of places where they are allowed to climb and play. We also do allow our cats to spend some time in our yard every day.
Now as far as the cats in your household go right now, I do think that they should all be treated the same. If you are buying something for your cats, you could buy a little something for the other cats as well. I believe that doing something like this would lead to much less tension in the house overall.
