i think that a lot of people have this problem at the moment, you just need to be more careful with your money. You need to ask do i really need this thing what im spending my money and be a bit more aware of what your spending. I have started walking a lot more than driving and saves me money on fuel. There are lots of ways that you can save money.

As I say there are a lot of people in the same situation as yourself but its all down to good management and just buying the essentials and switching to cheaper options or looking for special offers. There are lots of things that you can do I have started to walk to a lot places rather than driving so I am saving money , also saving wear and tear on my vehicle and the best of all is that I'm getting fitter.

With the recession in full swing i can imagine there are a lot of people in a similar circumstance to you. Firstly the best way is to cut your spending and decide which items you 'really' need and then just buy the essentials. When you go food shopping you could buy cheaper items that can save you money or maybe get a part time job

There is a lot of people all over the world in the same situation as you and as this is a global recession so people all over the world are struggling. If you only buy the essentials and cut down on stuff you dont need that will help, maybe you could even switch to cheaper brands that should hopefully savw you some money. You could even get a part time job and hopefully that can bring in some spare money to help you out.

You can try keeping all your money in your bank and keep your debit and credit cards at home. I don't spend money much except on groceries and cable but my brother can't keep money in his pocket without spending it so to prevent using all his money he keeps it in his bank. It makes sense, since if you don't have access to money then you wouldn't spend. If you need to buy something important, then you need to go home to get money and since it's a hassle, if it wasn't something you really need, it wouldn't be bought.

instead of saving money, i would say stop spending money on unnecessary things. That is the best way to save money.
Keep yourself a pocket diary where-in you write down all your spendings in it. Anything, even a chocolate. Write down this for a week and then, at the end of the week, check the list and analyse what are the things that you could have resisted from buying which is not of that importance to you and you could survive easily without spending on that. Make sure you do not spend your money again on those things.
Again, write down for the next week, and see your improvement in spending money only for things which you need and not on things which you have easily survived without spending. Keep analysing and eventually you would have cut down on unnecessary spendings and you would have saved some money in the mean time.

Okay I got it. The conclusion is that spending needs to be set if there is residual that must be saved.

I have saved a lot from my salary even if I have so many expenses monthly. What I did is this: I automatically save 10 to 15 percent of my net income monthly and I think it really worked! I did this 2 years ago. Unlike before when I save almost 60 percent of my monthly net. So huge savings but I tend to withdraw it because I always come short for my expenses. Now, I don't even thought that I have a savings monthly and I am not tempted to withdraw my savings. I have read the technique in a business book before and I think it is very effective.

Hm okay I got it. It is enough to only save 10 to 15 percent, to stay away from a huge desire to withdraw, huge savings decrease more cash out but causes huge desire to take it back. Just dont be over then we got much

If you are saying that you are spending too much money a month and want to save them then I recommend creating a budget. You can use a website like Mint.com or just write down all your revenues and expenses.

Great my friend, thanks for the suggestion. Perhaps I'll write down revenues in Excel program for reviewing in and out my cash flow

Well, this trick works for me, you may take it or not, but what I do is whenever I receive my pay, I immediately deduct that percentage of savings that I want to be put in my savings account. The rest will be budgeted for my expenses and other needs. And if I am able save some out of it, then I either reward myself by getting something that I like or depositing it with the rest of the money that I initially put away for savings.

I have some tips for you, maybe you can have a try:
1. Try not to eat meals outside, try to cook at home. It's cheap and healthy.
2. When you go out, you'd better not take a taxi, take a bus or ride a bike or walk if it's not far.
3. Eat snacks as little as possible, it's good for health and it can save a lot.
4. If you have clothes to change , then don't go to the shop to buy clothes.
5. Buy meat when you really want to eat, try to eat more fruits and vegetables, they are healthy and cheap.
There are still many, when you need to spend money, you can remind yourself: Do I really need it?
