Hi aravocal, nowadays smartphones of different brands have become very popular. Due to this we can get ordinary cellphone with very low price. As my husband's elder sister doesn't have any knowledge in using smartphone and feels reluctant to have one. His son can only get her an ordinary cellphone with quite low price for her. She is happy to have it to contact with her son and younger sister in neighbor country. Yeah, it's a waste of course if buying a smartphone without using it's other features. Since your old phone doesn't work anymore you can either buy a new smartphone or an ordinary phone depends on your need.
Happy posting

My husband and I both have our own cellphones. We don't share one because we both need it for work and it would be way too impractical especially when we have to go to work. I actually have 2 right now, one for business and one for personal use. Sometimes my husband would borrow my personal phone to call or message someone whenever his phone's battery is low, and I do the same. So far we haven't broken each other's cellphone.

I never got a cell phone till I got to the college and I was officially 18. there was only 1 cell phone was there in our house and it was with my brother. I used his cell phone to text my friends, who also used their mother's or father's or their sibling's phone to be in touch with me.
There would be times that both me and my brother would want to text our respective friends at the same time and that times it used to feel really terrible because my brother would get to use it since it was his cell.
i can understand what you feeling now, because once upon a time, even i had the same feeling like you are now . Just that I never had at all, you had it but broke it..
