I bought a new phone today and I downloaded an app for a diary/planner. I really like this application because I can change the skins and put different kinds of emoticons and themes on it. I can even change the font and color of the letters!
I think I will be using this phone planner often since I carry my phone almost everywhere.
Now I don't know what to do with my real planner. It will be too much to type in my phone and write in my planner at the same time. I mean, it is senseless. I wish I chose a different gift. You see, the planner is a Christmas gift and I got it because it is what I wrote on my wishlist.. Dang!

You could use the planner on your phone for 'planner like things' meaning dates, appointments, birthdays, meetings, deadlines, etc. And then with the paper planner, you could do what I've decided to do to keep 2013 a positive year and write down something positive that happens everyday on the day. For example, for yesterday January 12, I wrote today my partner made me chicken soup because I am very ill. It's short and sweet and takes like a minute tops. I just keep it by my bed and write a one liner about something positive right before I go to sleep. It's a nice way to end the day and by next year, I'll have a collection of 365 beautiful moments :)

Hi Jennlee, the problem is my real planner is full of lines and columns and numbers. It would be hard to write a diary. Maybe just snippets would do. But I think I know now what I will write on it. I'll make is a Gratitude Journal. I will list 3 things each day that made me happy

I think, too often, we get caught up in trying so hard to keep track of things we get lost. I think it would be easier to keep track of things on your phone, and then use the planner to jot down thoughts, ideas, to do lists, etc. I think its so much easier to keep everything logged on the phone. Good luck!

How about changing the real planner into a diary instead? That way you won't have to write the same events on both phone and the real planner.
I like writing on the real planner better. Although the phone planner looks good, I think it will take up a lot of memory.

I know exactly what you mean! I have these smartphones and an iPad, and then I also have a planner/filofax thing that I still maintain. I guess I just cannot exactly do away without a paper and pen for writing down stuff. It is a bit too much to lug around but I guess I will just have to deal with it until I finally make up my mind which one I want to use.

apps diary/planner on smartphone like iphone/android or other is have plus function that's as reminder which on reguler planner we should open, and find on which page we wrote and then read what it is. That's you should use, the function that doesnt exist in reguler planner.
