If we each pour a pot of coffee in mylot...

Perhaps the admin's will wake up?
I am very happy to be a member of this site and as a long time member I know that sometimes mylot takes a little longer to update, sometimes they are slow on getting something resolved between you and a discussion you felt was unfairly deleted, etc.
Though they have always gotten back to me eventually, they have always paid and always will.
I realize the last few days any newbies coming in may be wondering what's going on and if it's worth it.
It is definitely worth it to wait.
To paraphrase another member here Don't look at your earnings every day
We are all friends here, or enemies that are civil
So with all that being said. I've heard members saying maybe mylot is still getting over the new years celebrations.
What do you think, a pot of coffee or three or four or twelve would help get them woke up?
It does make me wonder what they are doing behind the scenes, perhaps implementing something awesome? Perhaps not.

I just received a notifier for a COMMENT that someone left on a comment that I had made to their response on one of my topics
That has never happened before so maybe they are up to something.
We can't complain because deletions are still taking place and earnings are still updating eventually so someone is still around somewhere

I think I need a pot of coffee to decipher your first sentence
Okay I re-read it now I got it
No, no complaints here. I wasn't able to get on at all yesterday but came home after midnight and got on, noticed they had only update two hours prior.
I know my money will come to me so I keep on truckin'

I don't know, but I do know that I would be worried if I were a new member here and saw that earnings weren't updating. That's the sort of thing that can panic a newer member.

Exactly and so that is why I made the discussion. Hoping people will cozy in and see how many of us with a lot of posts behind our name interact and are happy as can be to be here.

It is stillupdating but very late.
Right now it says "participation and referral earnings last updated 14 hours ago" and that was for our activity on myLot's Friday. Usually we would be right up to date and have Saturday's earnigs too by now.

My thought was that the person on staff who is responsible is taking a much needed post holiday break and they had to cover the shift with someone who is a little slower or who has other duties as well. I just know that they will get it done. That is what matters the most to me. It is good, however, to let the new comers know that a short delay is not a reason to panic, or to bad mouth the site. It still runs better than any other I have been on.

Having someone else cover a shift crossed my mind because I cover others fairly often and we are always juggling things around.

GG -
It never crossed my mind that they could've had someone else doing the updates while they were relaxing. I figured they must be relaxing though. This is the most trusted site I've found, while others falter and we earn from just a little, this one we've got the joy of earnings but also the most wonderful joy of all which is friendship.
Cynthi-
I am very glad that you are here as there are times when I am down and just reading your posts brightens my day. When I had found out how sick you were I included you in my prayers every night and worried about you until you were well enough to come back on and update us yourself. I am very glad you are still here with us.

I know that you are right. I only go on this site and have maxde some wonderful friends here and sometimes, I just don't know what I would do without you all sometimes. You keep me grounded and support me when I am low. You prayed when I was so sick for many months and I so appreciate all of you.

I heard sometimes they do take a break just like we do and that's why things aren't always updated. I saw this on another post someone did a month ago when things weren't updated. They deserve a day to themselves just like we do, after all this is alot of work to keep up with everyone. I'm just happy there's a site like this you can enjoy people's company and earn for participating in discussions.

hi fellow mylotters and a year ort so ago I go a pmessage from a woman admins so there is at least one woman working there and she
was so nice in explaining why she had deleted my discussion as she was afraid it would just continue the flaming war. A young poster wrote a whole discussion about how we older users hated new users and how hatley was among them. That really fried me and I flamed back in a discussion to him and rightfully it was deleted. the thing is the woman told me that she did sympathize with me and she also deleted my young enemys discussion too.It w as anice personal little message.

Hatley,
That was definitely not the first time some newer member had mentioned how the older members of the site are just always picking on the newer ones, and it won't be the last. I hate when discussions or responses that are meant to be helpful get taken the wrong way and then hurt feelings occur.
Alice was here, remember? Was it her? GoAskAlice but now we ask Alex.

Very true, they do deserve a break for all the hard work they do to keep this site up and running and fun for all of us.
We also don't know how many there are or what all they do do behind the scenes for us either, come to think of it, how long is their work day?

Hmm now wouldn't it be cute if they changed the theme on that day? Perhaps they have something planned, but I'd take chocolates before roses.
Sorry out of coffee here but plenty of hot tea. Take your pick

Yes mylot should awaken before valentine's day surely, I'd hate to be them if they sleep through valentine's day and how their bethrothed will react.

In reality, it is really hard to say what is going on with all the glitches this site has been seeing from time to time, and like you, I hope the newbies here will wait it out and continue to want to be here. This site will always continue to be one of my Best favorite places to be.

Well I have a mug of coffee here in front of me, ready to tackle my friend's notifications, here's hoping Mylot will still be around for many years to come, it's a place of sanctuary, support and friendship, hey, I even see Mylot as therapy!

Mylot is therapy for so many. I know I've come here for advice and love before when I needed it the most and wasn't sure where else to turn.
I believe this site will be around for a very long time to come, so no worries about that.

Eh maybe they are just taking a break. I've been a member, though not active for 5+ years. I am in awe, coming back to the site, at the changes that have taken place! Its hard not to look at daily earnings, but I agree with you, be patient and let them build up :)

I look my earnings daily, so I can't even take my own advice. I've been here for five years give or take as well but have been more active, seeing some of the changes when they first came out it was hard to navigate and figure out the new system with it.

hi SomeCowGirl he he why not private message A lex and ask him if they had more coffee it might move them to get our earnings posted earlier?Ha ha I wonder just what he wo uld respond with lol.wish they would implement something awesome like an edit button we can use after we hit post and see a bad error.

I hadn't even thought of messaging him to offer him coffee, but then what if he wanted donuts or a nice bagel or muffin after that? We should just have a buffet table here every morning, take our pick.
An edit button would be nice as there are times I either make a spelling error or forget to add something. We all seem to forget to add the picture that we want to as well.

I've been getting them, they've not been going to the right folder in my email though. I don't know if I am getting more or less of what I used to, but the notifies just keep me behind on mylot as I can navigate and answer people much easier by coming to the site itself.

I am hoping that the newer members that are worried about the earnings will see this discussion. Maybe that will help to put their mind at ease. MyLot has always been good to all of us here so I doubt it will be any different...
I think they might need a LOT of coffee to catch up lately though! Me, I have had too much coffee this morning, my mind is racing and my fingers are struggling to keep up with my brain!

Umm..can I have one cup then? I mean, I just don't want to waste free coffee.
At first joining here in Mylot, I checked the earning to make a report to my friend. She's the one who introduced Mylot to me. And even I got only $0.05 at that time, I was soooooo happy because I participated on something!
Now after a while here, I don't care how much I earn everyday. I just want to have fun and the earning is the bonus.
P.S. You haven't accepted my friend request, by the way.

Woops sorry about that, I have 220 FR's that I've not looked through. I'll go through and accept in just a few minutes.
Oh and yes take a cup for yourself, I sure would but I don't much feel like coffee this morning.

I have iced coffee in the fridge though.

No problem! I have checked your friends some times ago and I was like "Aaah...so this is why she hasn't accepted the requests! I bet I'm in a long queue!"

I see many saying how the site is a scam, and all this, after a few hours of the earnings not being updated.
But they do have lives, and sometimes they have things to do. I just wish they would tell us when they are going away, so we can be jealous .

Yes they do, but they've made this site so darn addictive that I forgot what a life really was like!
Atleast the earnings are updating like normal again.

Obviously the lackluster in mylot is greatly felt especially among the senior members. With no explanations I am afraid the spirit of mylotting is fast ebbing away. We are kept in the dark as to what is really happening behind the curtains. It is hard to speculate whether the admin is working to improve the site or closing shop . But with a huge followers and already rooted in the cyberspace I really don't see why they should go. I hope they maintain their good run in providing an alternative to fb for people to socialize in the cyberworld.
