Losing My Memory

I'm 17 and I have been having lots of trouble with my memory. I can remember some things, but other things are completely blacked from my memory. My brother or my grandma will tell me about something I did or said and I just stare at them. It's mostly newer memories, things I did today or within the month, but there are also memories from my childhood that have been wiped out. The only reason I know that they did once exist is either I read about them in my journals or a family member told me. I also forget what my family has said. My grandma will have told me that she's doing something on a certain day and when the day comes around I have no idea what she's talking about.
Does anyone know anything about this? Does anyone know anything about what might cause this?

I've nver experienced anything like that. But it doesn't sound too good. Maybe you should see about contacting your dr and make sure everything is ok. At your age you really shouldn't be having memory issues.

i think one of the cause why your memory getting more weak because the food you intake, there are food or vegetables and even supplement medicine to enhance your memory and return the strength of it,eat more vegetables and fruits is a natural way to make our memory better.

Maybe get some medical help about it. But I have found if you don't use your brain, it will get soggy! When I stopped working...so many functions I didn't use anymore..didn't have to keep track of things, didn't have a schedule to work with, didn't have anything to deal with that was important or had to follow through with. When I realized I was doing literally nothing!!!!!....I started doing things and could see shortly a change in my memory.
And it wasn't just memory.. it was lack of the "want" to do anything! Get dressed in the morning, do my hair etc.
Put yourself on a schedule, make yourself do things daily...every day. Set times to have things done or when to start. Part of my problem was just not having anything of any importance to think about! The day just went along with or without me! But I had to make myself do things...every day go out somewhere...every Wednesday go to this or that place...have a calender and make a schedule and stick to it.
Give it a try..can only help!

It is uncommon to hear memory trouble from younger people especially teens. I think you need to see your doctor.
