Although I am not at all interested in cricket,I would like Dhoni and co.to win this match. Now that Dhoni is in good form, may be God would grant my wish.Still I am apprehensive.I know and so do you and everybody else that the performance of the Indian team has been inconsistent. We can only wish for their victory although can't be sure of.

Hello boxer,
Sunil Gavaskar's advises and comments are considered as the most valuable in the world of cricket itself at present. A few weeks back he was against changing Captain of Indian team. But now he clearly expressed that Dhoni can be changed and Virat Kholi can lead India. Dravid too changed his stand and supported change of captaincy. Virat Kholi has more experiences than the experiences that Dhoni had when Dhoni was selected as Indian Captain. Matter is NOT of being cool and polite. As Gavaskar said " At present Dhoni hasn't a fighting game plan". Besides he is keeping gap with some main players. You can see that Kholi would be his next player to be get blamed.

There is not anyone in the side to lead the team in the present ongoing scenario better than Dhoni. At least in the one day format. Virat is still not that experienced enough. Also his expressions are bit aggressive when he gets out in a cheap manner. A captain should have a cool head. Have you seen Alistair Cook's expressions. He is so cool and polite.

These changes are unavoidable to bring back Indian cricket team to fighting spirited team. Dhoni was supported by Gavaskar a few weeks back as well as Dravid. But, now both these great players and previous Captains back for a change. Gavasker indicated Kohli as next Captain. Ego is working in the mind of Dhoni to develop his image as well as to find fault with some match winning players who are eligible to lead India. This bad trend and practice need change. If Tendulkar had to hand over captaincy and Ganguly had to do so to Dravid, Dhoni too have to do so to end this continuity of defeats even on Indian grounds. Fletcher is performing not as coach but as a guest to accompany with Indian team.

Hello boxer,
There is a "Captain's factor" influencing Indian batsmen for last few season. After making 1000 runs in Test cricket in 2011 with many centuries Dravid had to retire after hearing blaming of Dhoni about senior batsmen during Australian tour in 2011-12. Laxman and Sehwag found difficult to get runs. Now Gambir too. That is the affect of always blaming batsmen and giving trust and appreciation to bowlers with less efficiency by Team Captain.

I didn't hear the news last night. I had been busy all day long. However, it is time Dhoni shows his magic once more. All know that he is a capable batsman and an equally capable leader. The only thing (problem) is that things aren't going his way. He is certainly down in confidence though he has had some good knocks of late. The team's loss is always playing behind his mind. He requires support and I am sure he will come out victorious.

Hi nishant,
I saw this discussion when India has already wont the match. Had I seen it before the match then I would have said the chances of India are pretty less because its batsman are not showing the guts to fight it out on the pitch and same happened today and with gautam getting bold time and again and virat again played irresponsible shot , it was clear they are not working hard in nets and thus it is clear they need some kind of rest, say dropping them for couple of matches so message goes to them that if they do not perform then they can be dropped too.

Loosing certain matches doesn't proves that Dhoni is not a good captain. Winning the game is a team effort and a captain alone can do anything. As you can see the past games, in some games batting of Indians are at good but in the same game bowling is too poor and vice versa which results loosing the game.
Dhoni has faced many situations about the losing games and his captaincy and still he is cool and he is doing his job. As you cans see that he is doing fine where India needs hopes. If India is going to win the credit is to the whole team and if India is going to loose the whole team has to suffer, not only the captain.
