facebook page or Facebook messenger?

ever since they came out with the Facebook messenger for the desk top that is what I use. my computer is to slow to get on the actual page. the timeline doesn't help that either. now that I have a kindle fire I do get on the page to scroll through the posts but then I get right back off. the messenger is so much easier to use and more convenient for me.
I want to know what your views are....which do you use and/or prefer?

For me, I use the page to see the posts and not to leave the messages. If I want to communicate on real time basis I use the facebook messenger. I don't have facebook messenger installed in my computer too, i just use the facebook to send the messages through the facebook messenger.

I was really happy for the messenger because my computer became to slow to open the web pages and when I got the other computer I just automatically downloaded it. I only really talk to 1 friend on it.
do you think you will ever use the messenger for the desk top?

I have Skype also and I have no friends on that really. I mean I have my sister and mom who never get on and I few friends who never get on either so I just stopped signing in lol. what is a YM account?

no I dont have much friends in FB to chat with. I have skype and ym. so I am okay with these messengers. my sisters also have YM and skype account so.. I don't need to have FB messenger.

I use Messenger for Facebook that was a Free download ap for my Cell Phone and my tablet. It is a lot easier than logging into Facebook all the time just to see who has messaged me. A lot more convenient as well, especially when time is limited and I might not have the time to come online much.

I agree very much with you it is way more convenient.
I usually use my messenger while listening to music on iTunes and downloading more music from my frostwire.

I prefer the actual page, as I play games and the like on it mostly. I tend to stay away from any messenger (I can count on one hand how many times I used the Facebook Messenger) and that was exclusively by accident. I don't use any messenger because I don't really like the instant access thing. That's why I like myLot, you read discussions when you want, and decide which ones you want to respond to.

I use to play a lot of games on it until my computers became to slow to load up. I don't like that instant access thing much either but I do have a friend I talk to everyday for a good while so I just turn my messenger to offline and talk only to that 1 friend. I agree I like mylot a lot better than facebook.

may i ask is there any cetain reason that you use facebook thro the messaging and havent tried the messnger?
i may have never used the messenger had i nt been having big computer issuees but my husband has a worse computer than me and he was the first with the mesenger so i got it after he did and i havent stopped using it. i only really talk to 1 friend all the time so it makesit easier for me atleast.
