My sil is not going to have to have surgery after all on Friday. I had posted on here several days ago that he was going to have to have his spleen out but today the doctor said he will have to have it removed. They been running test on it and it got to 27 cm and they said if it got to 20 it would had to be removed. It was at 27 cm on Friday. Yesterday it was down to 17 and today he saw the doctor and it was down to 14. We were happy to hear that.

You can live without a spleen but a spleen is what helps you fight infection. The doctor had told him if he gets a cold without a spleen he probably would be in the hospital.
