A good night's sleep is essential to gain physical, mental, emotional as well as spiritual strength. We should get proper sleep and rest to carry on more work and labor. In these times of hectic activity, lifestyle modifications, undue stress and strain make one tiresome and lethargic. The nagging problem of insomnia also set in.All work and no play make one weary and useless.People get tired easily and groggy. Lack of sleep definitely affects the quality work output.Sleep ....it is much more than just giving rest to our physical self nor is it a break from busy schedule of activity. It is rather unavoidable for lessening mental tensions, physical strain, gaining bodily strength, and above all a firm emotional standing. Sleeplessness on the other hand results in exhaustion, fatigue, irritability, aggression ,forgetfulness, weight gain, water retention, shin irritations, difficulty in concentration etc etc. Lack of sleep causes long standing health complications. Sleep deprivation poses serious threats to natural well-being as a whole and normal physical activity in particular.

Indeed, sleep is very essential for a person to function well in life. Working when sleepy can make you commit mistakes in work because you can't concentrate well.
Thus, i see to it that everyday i get enough hours of sleep, so that i will function well in everything that i do. And for me, 7 hours of sleep is enough. But lesser than that i will already be lethargic the next day.

Sufficiently enough sleep is essential to bodily health and normal body functions. The brain gets rejuvenated due to rest on account of good sleep making it ready for more effort and action.Good sleep is boon.

I agree, a good night's sleep is very essential in repairing our body and our growth. Just recently, I took a 27 hour flight/travel and I have to adjust my body to a 12-hour time difference from my origin to my destination. I lost precious hours of sleep. And oh my, I was a wreck for a few days and I can't even think well. Only after I have fully recovered did I begin to feel any better. I also noticed that my immune system is at its most vulnerable when I lack enough sleep.

Yes, these days sleep is very underrated. We all would be better off with a good night's sleep. They don't call it beauty rest for nothing. The body heals and rejuvenates when sleep. Without out things are really out of order and chaotic. It is harmful to our health to not get enough sleep.
