Hello guys, if you could choose,do you like boy baby or girl baby? I think in China rural areas, most of the family hope have a boy baby, while in China cities, many parents hope have a girl baby. How about in your country?

Hello everygreen... I do not think that it made a difference to me each child that we had we just prayed for them to be healthy. We were blessed with 3 girls, and 5 Boys.

Hello dlr297, thank you for your response. You are so lucky. You know in China, it is the government policy that each couple only permit to have one child.

Hello dlr297, I got married married on October 2012,and I do not have a baby now, my parents-in-law always mentioned boy baby is preference, which gave me great pressure. In my mind, son or daughter is the same as long as healthy and smart. Have a nice day.

yes i do know that in china you are only allowed one child. Children are such a blessing from God, and i ma glad that i live in a country where we have rights, and the Government can not order us to only have one.

Hi everygreen In olden days many prefer boys but lately it has changed they are considering no difference between girl and boy ,but still there are such parents who prefer boy that a girl. I don't have any difference whether a boy or girl ( still i am single ).

You are correct there are some parent who always prefer to have the boy and they get upset if they get the child and not only this some husband blame their wife if she gave the birth to girl. But they don't understand that it is husband also equally responsible for giving the birth of the child.

Hi PRASHU228, yes, I agree with your saying. In China, especially in rural areas, elder people do prefer boy than girl.

I thought that all Chinese preferred for their one child to be male because they are expected to take care of the parents when they are old. Why would those who live incites prefer females?

I have two boys and a girl. We wll probably have one more, since my youngest is 7 months and there are 8-9 years difference in age between the other two. I would hope for a girl just to even things out. However, my boys are mama's boys and are much easier than my daughter. My daughter is amazing but girls are so emotional that I think overall boys are easier. Our general thougbt in this country is that as long as the baby is healthy we are happy. But some couples do keep trying to get a certian gender. I grew up with a neighbor who kept trying for a girl and ended up with 4 boys!

Hello amybrezik, wow, you are so lucky since you have two boys and a girl already. In China, people always said that if a family can have both son and daughter, means good fortune. Have a nice day.

I am having a son and a daughter. I like my son as well as my daughter, since they are my children. I never differentiate them, treat them equally, and love them also equally

After having two girls I have to say I'm happy I had girls. Boys are to wild and crazy and get into more trouble normally then a girl. Not to mention having a girl its more fun to dress them. Boys clothes can be boring in my opinion. Also, girls learn faster then the boys in most cases and they have so many more fun things that we were able to do together. I always felt I had wanted a boy earlier in my life but now after raising my girls I'm happy I didn't have a boy.

In our country - Bulgaria, it doesn't matter, actually, and I think it's right not to matter. I mean, we're in such huge demographic crisis, that any child born here is more than welcome, no matter the gender. To me, personally, it doesn't matter, too. When I got pregnant, all I was praying for was that my baby is healthy, I never asked myself what gender I wanted that baby to be. The most important here is the child to be well and healthy, not the gender. Obviously some cultures fit in some statistics, and it is very often geographically presisposed, but why... I don't know.

I guess in our country you don't have to worry about which you have, unless the parent itself is picky. We have 2 boys and 4 girls ourselves, and if the Good lord blesses us I would love to have more.
