Best Cricket Team

For judging the best cricket team, you must state which format of cricket you are talking about because you can have different answer for different formats (T-20,One Day and Tests).

Hi deepu... you have started a great discussion...in t20 series i like the most pakistani team and indian they play an important role in cricket theirs batsman and bowlers i really like them...pakistani bowlers are amazing and indian batsman are also good in batting ....in 50series i like pakistani team most.....

Even though I am a great fan of Indian cricket team I should say presently South Africa is having the best cricket team. After the retirement of four legends from the Indian cricket team,Indian cricket team is going through the dark phase. Also it will take time for the youngsters to gain the momentum. But at present I should say SA is the best team and their performance clearly shows that.

I think that at present S Africa is the most balanced team with so many talented players in all fields of the game. Australia is the next team, but having consistency problem among bowlers.

Hi deepu It is hard to pick the Best Cricket Team at present because all the teams are inconsistent now a days .I think South Africa may have the edge considering the recent times.As an Indian i prefer India to be the Best in all formats but Indian team performance not so pleasing these days ( last 2 series ) So if we consider last 2 series of all the countries South Africa is having the Edge.

In Test cricket, South Africa are clearly and comfortably ahead of the rest. They are playing tough and aggressive cricket. Their players are battle-hardened. And the depth they have in their team is simply unmatched. Batting, bowling, fielding -- they have the best in the business in all three. In Graeme Smith, they have a very good and accomplished captain as well. They really seem to have all the bases covered at the moment. In ODIs, we don't have a particularly dominant team as of now. The top teams seem to be evenly matched, though I think SA and Australia have a slight advantage over the others. Except in World Cups and knockout situations, SA is always a very good side. T20, of course, is like a lottery. You never know what's going to happen. Teams with big hitters are always more dangerous. West Indies comes to mind.
