I was born in Columbus, OH. I only lived there for about 5 years. I don't really remember much about it all. We then moved to a small suburb of Chicago when I was 5. I lived there for many years before moving about 20 minutes away, where I went to middle school and high school. I didn't think I would ever leave that area, but somehow, I ended up in Texas! My family still lives in that area, so we visit a few times a year. Where did you grow up?

I grew up and am still kind of growing up in a small town in northern Michigan called Gaylord, that's right Gaylord. lol. It's a pretty small town but we do have some developed businesses like Meijers and Wal-Mart and stuff but we don't have too many major attractions other then some really nice golf courses and ski hills. Only problem is you need money to be able to do both.
I'm getting pretty sick of this town at this point though I've lived here my whole entire twenty-one years of life and am ready for a change of scenery. I can't stand winter either and sometimes the cold weather can really suck here. The good news though is that I'm transferring to a college pretty soon and that will also allow me to move somewhere else.
All in all Gaylord isn't a horrible town or anything like that it just doesn't have a whole lot of opportunity. During the summer there is a good amount of jobs out there and hours to be worked but that only accounts for three or four months of the year. The rest of the year's business relies heavily on snowfall and how the weather is.

I've only been to Michigan once, and I was so young that I don't really remember it. I can understand how you feel about wanting to get out and explore new areas. I think it's great that you are going to college and will have the opportunity to do that!

I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and except for a year and a half I lived in California, I have lived in Oklahoma for the majority of my life. In different cities, but in the same state at least. I've lived in my current city for 14 years now, albeit in 3 different residences.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area for the first 10 years of my life. After my parents divorced, my mom moved my sister and I to Sacramento. And although I've moved to a few different cities since then, it's always been within this area. Even now (27 years later), I'm just outside the city itself. I just can't seem to leave. By the looks of it I'll always be sac(ramento)mom! LOL
Happy mylotting!

I grew up on the farm in Southern Ontario Canada that my Grandad bought in 1905. My father was born later that same year, and I was born in the farmhouse in 1933. I was married and have lived in a house we built on that farm in 1979 when my oldest son was married, and now he lives in the original farmhouse. I also have winter home in Texas where we spend 5 months each year. (no snow to shovel in Tx.)

Same story different ages , actually I was born in Cincinatti, OH, moved to Columbus when I was 4 then lived there until I was 12. Then we moved to Illinois. I lived in one suburban town till I graduated from high school then my family moved to another suburb, and I moved with them. I lived there till I graduated from college and got married. Our first home was 7 minutes from my parents house. I still live with 40 minutes from my mom.
