Do You Believe in God?

Hi friends, at present there are 400,00,00000 (4 billion)people in the world. But most of the people believe in God and they belong to any recognized religion like Christianity (Christians), Buddhism (Buddhists), Islam (Muslims), Hinduism (Hindus), Judaism (Jews), Sikhism (Sikh), Paganism (Pagans) etc. But there are some people, who do not believe on God and they are called atheists. Believers believe that God used to send prophets/representatives or God Himself come to this earth to show the right path to the misguided people and after death all people will stand before God for final trial. After trial, good people will be sent to paradises and bad people & atheists will be sent to Hell, where they will be burned by hellfire. Do you have faith on God, paradise and Hell?

Some people who don't believe in a god or gods are called Buddhists. There is no god in Buddhism, the teachings of Confucius or in Taoism. It is quite possible to live a life rich with spiritual value and not believe in a god. Paradise and hell are both inventions ment to intimidate people into a belief system. de omnibus dubitandum

Thank you dear friend for your response and participation in my discussion. I do not have much on Buddhism but I know that Buddhists believe on God. They worship the statue of Goutam Buddhist as their God. Have a very nice day.

Sorry, you are mistaken about Buddhism. It is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama but he is considered a man and a teacher but not a god. The Buddha image is a focus for meditation and a reminder of the teachings but it is not the representation of a god. There is no god in Buddhism. de omnibus dubitandum

Thank you Chiang for your response. In Bangladesh, there are a good number of Buddhists but they maintain their religious activities very sincerely. Could you please highlight about your religion, belief, God etc?

I don't believe in any specific religions, but I'm spiritual. Like... I believe in a supernatural, but I do believe that we, humans can't get to know what it is... so basically I don't believe any religion-made Gods, and I don't think that supernatural power looks or is anything like the powers in Christianity or Buddhism or whatever.

Hi freind, thank you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. Belief is a personal state of a man and woman. Nobody should force to change it but you can read different types of religious books like Bible, Qur'an, Torah, Vedas, Gita etc to get the idea about God. Have a very nice day.

Hello! This discussion is right up my alley! (As they say, or used to say, in these parts.) I do believe in God. Had a personal experience 34 years ago. I do not believe in a 'hell', but think of that as a (very unfortunate) mistranslation. which should read "the grave" from which I believe God resurrects us all from. 1 Tim 4:10 "God is the savior of all, especially they which believe." Especially, not only.. although it is only! But that's why there's a 2nd resurrection (promised/prophesied). And a long day of review to convince all.. ya can't turn from God/Life.. not really cause it results in nonlife, and who would choose that?

...mostly I believe God is Life and Perfection, and "Colossians 1:20 - and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross." All saved (ultimately) from imperfection and it's result, nonlife. This gives me a lot of peace and joy.

I don't know if there is any thing called hell or heaven, i am Hindu; i do believe in Gods/Goddesses and prayers. Most scientists like me have faith in a master creator, the Almighty, we call ourself advanced, we are still unable to understand the simplest hydrogen atom that has just one electron and proton, what to speak of complex molecules? Who made this--just think.

Hi Professor, thank you very much for your response and participation in my discussion. Different people call their God in different name but I think the main idea of a religion is to guide the people in the right track.

Yes, I most definitely do believe in god. My life wouldn't be the same without God. Every day that goes by, I do believe that by reading God's word, I learn more and more about him, and that is a good thing too. God is all through the bible giving us guidance as we go through our lives day by day. Take care, and may God bless you always.

Thank you so much mother Rosekiss for your nice comment and good for me. For good words have touched the core of my heart. Yes, God has guided His sinner people at different ages through His representatives, prophets or by Himself or by His books. If we read His books, then can know more about Him. May God bless you with peace, prosperity, happiness and trouble free long life.

Yes, I do believe in God.When I was eight years old as I was walking in the open field from school towards our home a child question came to my mind. Who is the owner of this vast land and wide clear sky. There must be an owner of this, equipped my young mind. A person who is powerful than our chieftain. That was my first sense of someone greater than human being. From that on ward, I seek Him in the bible, in His creation and in the events of my life and of others.

Hi, thank you very much for your nice response and participation in my discussion. Your realization, sensation and feeling is really praiseworthy. I believe that a truly religious person is an asset for not that particular religious people but s/he is the asset for all human beings. S/he can guide and lighten others who are misguided. Because misguided people are harmful for the whole human beings. Have a very nice day.

Yes. I believe in God. I believe there will be the second life that more life than how we live our life in the world. Our faith will determine us whether to go to paradise or hell.
