Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Hello Lelin1123, First time I've watch American Idol with the new three judge and i don't personally like nicki fooling around with Mariah Carey. the management should get rid of her before they lose more viewers because i personally got offended on how Mariah was fooled and pranked. . this shouldn't be like Xfactor were the focused is in the judges instead of the constestants

I couldn't agree more, I watched a few minutes of it and I turned it. I will not turn it back either. Nikki is so fake and weird looking. Shes just a joke.

I agree... Nicki is starting to look like she is insecure of being in the same room with Mariah... but i like her costume though... good thing Mariah acts with regally or with a lot of class... and i think that is making Nicki crazy... I would still watch American Idol... i am so curious as to who would win... i hope it will a girl this season... just tire of White Guys with Guitar...

hi, oh really i didn't watch any episodes of American idol,because i have to time to watch,but we all know that Mariah Carey is such really best good singer and an icon too and Nicki Minaj really don't have rights to do anything bad for Mariah Carey.

This season is annoying me so far. I wish they would have stuck with the original judges or, at the very least, kept Simon and Howie on the show. Randy has always annoyed me with his constant use of the term "dawg" but I've noticed that he's not using it as much. As for the Mariah and Nicki thing, I think it's just for the ratings. Like with Paula and Simon bickering all the time. But then again, Simon tells the truth whether people want to hear it or not and Paula is just crazy. Lol I do think that Nicki is rude, and not just to Mariah. I liked her when she first started making music but now I can't stand her overly pink lipstick and her white wigs / weaves. It also annoys me when she does her fake British accent and her alter-ego she calls "Roman". It's childish. She should put on a more professional attitude like Mariah does.

I think everything is just for the ratings of the show. It is impossible to see a new artist like Nicki to treat a legend like Mariah that sarcastic. I just don't imagine if Nicki will treat Jennifer Lopez the same way if she stayed. I love Nicki Minaj. I love her music. She seems to be a sweet girl. I watched one of Ellen's interview with her and Nicki was so adorable and she answered all questions quite intelligibly. I don't think that Nicki is such a bully, she is smart. It is just for the ratings guys. Remember when Simon kissed Paula, it was for the ratings too.

I love Mariah! She is one of the greatest singer and songwriter for me. I agree Nicki's attack is not really entertaining, it is a good thing Mariah is really classy and Nicki appears to make a fool of herself. I wish this be Nicki's first and last season as an American Idol judge. I will still watch American Idol since I love seeing new talents. I still miss Simon though after all these years.

You know, I used to be a really big fan of American Idol, but I don't think that I've watched it at all since the year that Carrie Underwood won. Since then I've started watching some of the other singing shows and I have to say that my favorite is The Voice, but I have not tuned into American Idol. The reason that I don't watch the show any more is because of the fact that the dynamics of the show has changed and there has also been less emphasis on real talent.

I also watched AI last night, and Nicki was really being herself, i guess. But Mariah being icon is really showing encouragement and finesse with her attitude. I guess the tension between the two would surely create interest among viewers, lol, and sort of balances the show outright.

I have always watched American idol. Well you noticed that too, but never mind. I love this even more since my idol Kieth Urban is one of the judges. I come from the cordilleras in Northern Luzon where country music is popular.

I watched it online this afternoon since I don't live in US. It is the first American Idol that I am watching! I didn't understand the whole conflict between them and to be honest it seemed fake to me. Also due to the Nicki Minaj accent I lost a couple of lines that they said to each other. I am going ti watch the show though and see hlw it goes! I really liked Keith Urban he is so sweet! I used to listen to Mariah Carey all the time and I still like her songs and love her voice but she is not my type in terms of character. She is always trying to be nice though and I appreciate it every time I see her!

I watched the first hour then DVR'd the last hour, & just watched the last hour of it on DVR today. It was basically a snorefest. The Nicki and Mariah cat fighting back and forth I'm sure was ploy or act, those two are probably best friends in real life. Anything to get viewers, or so they think. I was saying to my mom last night while watching that they better not do that through the whole show or I'll pull my hair out, ugh. Then there's Kieth Urbna, he is a fine young talented chap with alot to say once he gets his voice out there. Much more sophisticated in his verbal comments than Steven Tyler was who mostly used the word beautiful in most al of his comments. He was however more entertaining and funn than Keith. Until they told him to stop whatever it was last year to make himself funny. Then it got boring again. I kind of miss Tyler's humor but I'm just not too sure if this year will be worth the watch much anyways. The show has definetly seen it's better days. Besides they have kicked me off of their web site cause they didn't wanna hear the truth about many things last year, so why should I even bother to watch the show.

Well I do agree that nicki should respect mariah more because she is an icon of the worlds music industry.. and maybe the way nicki treat mariah on the show is a gimmick.. we really can't tell.. but I am really enjoying the show.. I have seen a lot of contestant that is so inspiring and move me a lot in such a way.. I am watching american idol not because of judges but because of the contestants and I'm really excited for the outcome of the show.. american idol is the best and the original talent show for me.

yeah, i like American Idol, but i dont really like Nicki too. i think, she is immature ! but anyway, don't be lured by their skits, sometime they did that to raise their popularity. hopefully nothing happen with them.

After about 5 minutes of watching the show I was annoyed at Nicky as well. I could not believe her attitude problem. To never look Mariah's way and make faces constantly when Mariah speaks is really immature. I completely lost respect for Nicky.

I love american idol very much, cant wait for it to start here in mexico. Our episods starts in one week here...

Didn't they say it's all for publicity? I like American Idol way way back before with it's original judges. It's more fun to watch before with Simon Cowell even if he's rude sometimes. Right now, it looks like not a show for talent but just for ratings.
