I am fuming right now, I submitted my pay. I log into today expecting to be paid, yep my money isn't there. A lady my mom works with who has a the same job as me but different route didn't get paid either. Now luckily I have my other pay cheque, and well a credit card. I will be laying low for awhile, but I can skim by with my pay today, and again on the 31st. But I wont get my pay until next month on the 14th. The other lady we work with has her adult child, and baby grandchild at home, and she is paying all the bills. We called payroll to ask, tehy said oh well deal with it we will pay you next month.

OMG that is terrible the way they treat their employees. Perhaps they don't have the money but to just say deal with it? That s really rude. Unfortunately I have been seeing this all too often. I hope you al get paid next month as they say they will. I would be pretty darn ticked off if that happened to me. People rely on that kind of thing to pay their bills and uhm....eat! So sad. You all work too hard not to be paid, I would not be happy. Don't blame you for fuming. Makes me sad too.

I work for the government, so tehy better goddam pay me next month. I thnk someone scr*wed something up on payroll, and why none of us got paid, whereas my Mom got paid, and the other higher up, but us lower down didn't. Lucky I get my other job, and paid half my credit card now, and then my other pay in two weeks will pay the rest and my rent.

Oh my God, how can they be called a company if they don't have money to pay their employers. is this often to you not get paid in on time? but have to wait 14 days later to get paid. just quit this job and get another better job. This insane if you not get paid in on time, how about daily needs if we don't have money. If is me, I will quit this job immediately and get a new job.

What the heck kind of job is this that you didn't get paid? Doesn't Canada have laws about that?

OMG! That is even worse than I thought. It just sounds so ridiculous that you work and can't get paid, and they tell you to deal with it! Here I thought I could help you out a little by filing a complaint, but I guess not now. Totally and completely WRONG.

Yep, the government is out to screw you. I will have to wait another month to get paid about the 14th of February to get my pay.

It's hard enough to make ends meet with your salary, but it becomes a different story when you don't get paid. Why wasn't your payroll processed? Did your manager approve it? I used to handle payroll for a US company and the top reason why a lot of employees didn't get their paycheck was that their manager didn't approve their timecards. For me, it's kind of stupid (and lazy for the manager) because the time card is online and it will take only a few minutes to approve it. I do hope next month you get your pay. And oh, try to make adjustments to your tax. Because another problem that most employees called back then was they are asking why the net pay is lower than expected. It's hard to explain that because it would be two or three time cards/weeks, the gross amount is bigger hence the tax is bigger.

The manager processed it, it was somene in head office who did't do their job. In the end I losoe out, I don;t get taxes taken off, I pay it all in full at the end of the year, so I put so much into savings each month. I am charging the neccearies to my credit card, and will end up having to pay interest. Meanwhile the company is laughing and looses nothing.

I can very well understand the situation. The reason for me to quit my job was some what the same. They never paid us on time, and the pay kept on reducing some what. They kept giving us some weird reasons for the cutting. When i left my job i was paid like peanuts. Now my only earning source is mylot and few other earning site and freelancing. Which pays me nothing apart from paying bills, which again has to be added with my few little savings from previous jobs.

I wish my online earnings would allow me to live but sadly it wouldn't even pay 1 bill of mine. This is a government job, and I know they have the money. Someone just screwed something up, and we end up paying for it. I know many who have been oin that situation, ended up the company doesn't have the money, and went under they never ended up being paid.

I remember when Randy worked at the radio station his former boss used to cheat his hours and pay. One day he worked 5 hours and they only paid him for 3 hours (this went on for two months). The only reason we knew this was because Randy always made copies of his time sheet and when he got his pay stub we always compared the two and realized what was going on. Randy's boss had forged Randy's time sheet by changing times on the sheet which is illegal because a time sheet is a binding contract. Randy's boss denied this and when we showed his boss the time sheet and compared it to the one we had it turned out his boss got caught. The boss refused to pay Randy and we had gone to the Department of Labor and reported his boss. Randy did end up getting his pay. I am wondering how many other employees got cheated and did not realize because they never made copies of their time sheet.

I see this all the time, but sadly here they cant force them to give the money. I had this at my last job, they would do the samething, and I was out thousands. My Dad's last job was the same way as well. His boss would have the cheques bounce, and he never got a few pay cheques in the end. This is the government, so I know they have the money (seeing as I pay about $6,000 in tax per year for me alone). I think someone screwed up in payroll, wont admit it, and then we end up suffering.

How insensitive to say 'deal with it". If they can't pay on right time, at least they could give something for the employees to count on during the days with no pay. Maybe they somewhat give some canned foods or things like that. They just can't let the employees kept on working and no eating!

It's the government so I highly doubt they will give us anything, they tell us to deal with it, and stave. Luckily I have enough money in my account to do my bills.

That's what I said after hanging up the phone. I am lucky I got my other job just in case. Plus, but the 14th I should be starting my seasonal job. I paid half my credit card off today's pay, and left some money in my account (in case of an emergency), then I get paid the 31st from my other job, and will pay the rest of my credit card, and my rent (as it's due the end of the month). I will get double the pay on the 14th, and that will go into savings like normal, and pay the rest of my credit card (such as gas and groceries), then get my other paycheque then as well. But those who only live off that paycheque like the lady I work with.

I don't care what institution it is, that is illegal. They can't just not pay your deter it to another month. People need that money to survive. I'd be calling anybody who'd listen to me and some who wouldn't to get this straigthened out!

I agree. There has to be some law about this, no matter if you work for the government or not - not paying for a full month is definitely shady and far from okay. This really needs to be taken up with a lawyer or something. The government needs to abide by the laws, too.

I just wonder what kind of work you have. They don't pay you on time, they should be get sued for it. Because not many people have spare saving on the side to get another month by. So, they simply ignore your situation, and tell you to sit tight, and wait until next month? If I were you, curse her out loudly over the phone. Take some time, and look for another job that will pay you on time.

Oh my. What kind of site is that? If both of you didn't break the rules and then, both of you must received your payments. Is it work online? What kind of work online opportunities? I hope you got your payment next month.

It feels sad when you know you have worked hard and eventually what you've expected doesn't happen and you don't get paid. Every work done must be paid and no one deserved to be told to wait until the next month. People rely on money they have already worked for and it's very unpleasant. I am sorry about this and I hope you will fix the problem soon. Take care.

Yeah, it's very frustrating. What's right here is that they have to get charged penalty fees for not paying you on time, but who cares, really... That's what can make everyone angry.

Yes, this money pays my bills, and in the end I loose not the company. They are happy, and they don't get charged fees for not giving me the pay, yet I end up sturggling to pay bills, and get charged interest.

That's what I said, but I need the money right now. Luckily I have just enough to cover most of the important bills right now.
