Yes, it is always fun to watch Boom Boom Afridi. Whether he is batting or bowling, he is a character on the field. His batting is usually fun while it lasts, though last two years it has hardly lasted a few balls at a time. His bowling was much better over the last three odd years, but that too seems to have gone off lately.
Cheers!

In my opinion he is one of the real entertainer that I have seen in the world cricket. He hit the fastest century in the ODI, he hit the most number of sixes in the ODI match. HE hit the longest six, he hit 4 sixes in 4 balls in test cricket, he is the captain who lead the most worst team to the world cup semi final, he is the highest wicket taker in the world cup. He is the one who always played for his country pride. Yes, it is none other than Shahibzad Muhammed Shahib Khan Afridi-BOOM BOOM AFRIDI.

Hi Sajidbhai,
I have some frank views about your favorite cricketer and you may find my views are harsh. Please don't take it to heart. I have given you my view, that's all.
You are right, his batting was awesome a few years ago. At present even he will not call himself a batsman anymore. He bowls well and is a good fielder.
As a player he is volatile and difficult to control, he will not be able to follow captain's instructions when he goes out to bat. He is too impulsive as a batsman.
He has resigned as captain and went into retirement only to make himself available for selection again. His temperament is suspect, so he is not reliable.
He has to learn how to communicate properly. I don't mean his poor English but his ability to communicate is very poor. He loses his temper very easily and his abuses have been picked up by stump microphones very often. Remember the Gan*oo he used for Hafeez, the present T-20 captain.
He comes across as arrogant and incondiderate. Remember he said Irfan Pathan is not a real Pathan because he does not know Pashtun. I,m sure Irfan may not have liked that. Irfan may even be a converted Muslim but for a Muslim to question a fellow Muslim's lineage is like the caste system in India where Dalits are considered lesser humans.
As an international player of cricket he seems to have learnt very little to convince people about his credentials. Of course there is that ball chewing incident and tampering the pitch which was caught by English television. He is unrepentant and continues to be the same guy who made his debut long ago in 96.
I don't think he is a popular team mate in the Pakistani team.
