..so why should it in the virtual world? I mean, what is 0.25 cents? It's certainly not 25 cents, it's 0.25 OF a cent. Even worse, 0.00000001 cent lol. Do you know what I mean? In 'real life' this currency does not exist so why should it online? Your thoughts.

What are you talking about 0.25 is a virtual representation 25 cents and does exist in America but they call it there a Quarter Dollar even 0.01 exists and it's called a Penny. I think you meant to say that 0.025 doesn't have a physical form not 0.25.

I think you mean that $0.25 is 25 cents. 0.25 Cents (without the $ dollar sign) is quarter of a cent. I think I got it right. _Derek

Most people wouldn't have thought that it was 0.25c that was being talked about because the c sign is not used much these days but they would have understood Janey1966 if 0.025 was used instead.

Maybe the actual currency (coin) doesn't exist, but a lot of things do cost or are worth a fraction of a ¢ in the real world. Single stocks and shares, for example. You don't usually buy these singly, but in a lot. Lamb mentioned US state sales tax. The MO sales tax is 4.225¢ or 4.225% of one dollar (2012). Some municipalities or counties break it down even further than that. You ever look at the fine print on a store coupon in the US? Most say the cash value is 1/100¢ or .01¢.

After awhile it all starts to confuse me. If the meter of whatever site I am on at the time, does not move fast enough for my liking I just move on! I will try to find something faster.

Well I prefer to look at it in a positive perspective. If you add it up it will eventually have a value in real life. I think of it as baby steps or rather SUPER baby steps. A dollar is broken down into cents after all. Be positive :)

Why it exists? Because people perceives that it has a value and it does exists. Value does not need a certain or concrete material to earn its value. It is more than the material way of thinking. That is quite the wonder works of the mind. Once you start thinking about something, it will exist even if it doesn't really exist physically. Just my two cents in.

it shouldn't.you're basically getting the same value as a coupon. but if they don't regulate those sites, they'll keep doing it.

It doesn't matter how much small earnings you earn a day but adding those small earnings give rise to big values and makes you happy, i mean about the pay out

The reason such amount exist in the virtual world is because a lot of sites that allows you to make free money with no skills at all is trying to delay your payout. They wanted to keep all the income to themselves first then release payout right after it reach the minimum amount. At least that's what I think.

Haha yes there is not a 0.25 cents in bank paper but it can exist in the bank account,as we all know that the account just show the figure of your saving so actually it can show any kind of figure.

If i were you, i wouldn't engage on such online earning program because it's a complete fraud or yet takes you FOREVER to reach your dollar. I can do a dollar a day for some online programs that are worth my time and really divulge on real online work such as freelancing which i can talk to my boss and i am his employer i would go over such working site rather than earning a little piece of penny which takes me forever to earn even a single dollar. You can find a lot of OTHER online OPPORTUNITIES! just don't stick to one online program or workloads. be resourceful, the internet has a lot of information you can research in to. Good luck.

couldn't agree more! waste of time and energy just for some cents... however, a lot of newbies in the online earnings do fall on such scheme.

combination of such unreal things after a period of time becomes real as summing up 25c four times makes $1 and that's real. That's what I mean.

Because money adds up. If we lived in a world with only dollars, 0.01 of a dollar is a cent but cents wouldn't exist in that world. If we had something less then a cent, like mini-cent or something then 0.01 cents would make sense. However, we live in a world of cents and dollars so 0.01 * 10 is a cent and that * 100 is a dollar, understand?

Interesting.. I would say that these amounts can be a percentage of what you can earn when the reach the level of real currency? In such cases it is a promise - a quarter of a cent.. Hmm.. Two quarters will give you half.. Two halves would give you a whole cent! Legal at last! Yeh!!!! It could be say that it is a bit like in the old days when people were "living over the brush!" Not legally married but going through the motions. It doesn't matter these days, so perhaps it is the same thing with cyber money. _Derek

Good point you raised there. Though it is nice to see accumulation of earnings from something small into something higher. It makes us appreciate that little efforts amount to something bigger with perseverance.

an accumulated value is much better to see than a $0 mark. As Lamb said up above, if they did not have that, it would be $0 and people would not do it any more.

Of course that is an arithmetic idea. The smallest in real life in a cent and none of us could buy a thing with it. But it is part of the earning game at the web. And if you add up, you can get some "real" money.

Have to agree with this small, people will think it has value and the more it gets bigger, the value it becomes. of course , when you translate it into real currency, it's much less of an expected amount.
