M S Dhoni is surely a captain who brought a great difference to the Indian cricket team. His leadership skills led the team to world cup wins in both T20 and ODI format.India was able to lift the ODI world cup after 28 years that too in home soil.Under his leadership India held top position in ODI and test rankings. But the recent losses has brought him under huge criticism.Experts and veteren players are suggesting for a new leadership.Friends, what do you think?Should Dhoni step down as Team India's captain?

Hi arjun,
There has been lots and lots of talk about that he should be given a break and he should leave at least T 20 captaincy. I do not agree with it. He is our captain cool and he is very sherud captain. He knows exactly who to throw ball and how to get best from each and every player so I think he should be captain of all 3 forms of the game.

I fully agree with you asweetie that MS dhooni is best thing happened to Indian cricket after The great Sachin Tendulkar. He is captaincy matieral and he should be continued with the captaincy and all talks of stripping him of captaincy is just bringing his moral and moral of team down. He is lot better captain than anyone in the team can be.

hah a dhoni fan?
they call BCCi as hypocrite because when every team wants DRS,india didnlt want it.
so if thats the case, when pretty much every team has different captains for different format, and we still say Dhoni should captain all 3 formats, does that make you a hypocrite?
i am tired of hearing this non-sense about no one is capable of handling team india other than Dhoni.
may be i am mistaken, did dhoni lead the jarkhand team to ranji finals?
the selectors showed faith in a relatively new guy when players like sehwag, yuvrah, harbhajan were still in the team after dravid quits captaincy.
why not now,a kohli, raina, yuvraj can lead the team?
after all kohli did bring the u-19 world cup.
last point.
india still doesn;t have a second wicket-keeper because dhoni hardly takes rest and they play only he gets banned.
because dhoni is hogging the playing XI in all 3 formats, you can't even try out for a second wicket-keeper,how the heck you are going to groom a new captain?
one thing keeps me ticking though.dhoni is almost 32 which in turn means he got atmost 3 years before you all start tearing him up for not retiring and not giving guys a chance.lol

Yes, definitely, MS Dhoni should continue as a captain. A leader is one who leads by example, uses his resources to optimum and reckons the teams' interest as a top priority. MS has all these abilities.
Here is what his friend Satish Kumar, who played along with him in his earlier days said about him "He never tolerated loss. Once he struck over 70 runs in a league match in a day/night tournament in Lucknow, but our CCL team had lost that match. Dhoni was adjudged as the Man of the Match and got a tea set as a gift. He was so dejected with the loss that he dropped the tea in the dressing room saying, what use of it when the team lost the game .. we had won that tournament after playing good cricket thereafter,"
We surely need a player of such attitude to lead Indian Cricket Team.

I think MSD is a good captain for limited overs games. So he should continue for the 20 and the 50 over versions. But he is a poor Test captain. So we need someone better to captain us at the test level. I think Gambhir could be a real option to try out for the test matches.
Cheers!

I don't see anybody now who is capable of captaining the Indian side. There is no alternatives, Dhoni has to be the captain for all the three formats. Yes, he can drop IPL captaincy to shed his some workloads.

I do not think Dhoni has to be step down from Test team.Stastics also show a decent picture for Dhoni. His standards are remarkable for ODI and T20 and decent for Test. The failures in test has been mainly due to openers and bowlers. We never had a decent opening partnership. In fact, we never had it even in second or third of even on fourth wicket. To win matches, you need decent and good partnerships.Batsmen should get those important runs.It never happened due to all the good reasons.Next, our bowlers were not threatening at all in the tests.Dhoni as a captain can only use these options to try for a win.He cannot create a win with lack of options. If his captaincy is not helping even after the best players are given, then we need to remove him.But for now, he should definitely continue. Moreover, our current options of a captain is nothing as rightly pointed out by Dravid.Giving another one captiancy will not solve the problem as the problem is the bowlers and openers. If those are sorted, then things would be easy to determine.Well again all major teams except South Africa are going through some change. Thanks!
