Weekends @ IT

IT sector has brought in a wonderful concept of Weekends off :-) I just love it. You get 2 days to pursue what you love, enjoy & party with friends. Weekends are just so relaxing after a hectic work schedule of 5 days. But what if your boss calls you up & says that you have to work this weekend? Yup. Many IT people must be knowing this already that how does it feel. In India it is generally the case that some people are working over the weekends as well. As most of the work is outsourced in India, we have that time gap which we need to take care off. Indian stretch their working hours to match the client's & they work over the weekends as well. I feel sucked up when I need to work on a weekend. They pay us extra for weekend working, but still it sucks. I don't want that extra money - let me enjoy my weekend & relax. But when you are in service, you don't have your say everytime. Sometimes you can deny working on weekend, but not everytime. IT will suck your weekend occasionally :-(
