Fun for the kids or fun for you?

Sometimes when I playing with the babies, I find that I am far more amused than they are. They are more amused at the way I am acting than the game we are playing. Those times are so joyous, when you find that entertaining your baby actually is more entertaining and thrilling for you than for them. It gets a little awkward when your having fun and the baby actually starts crying, though. That's something that might happen with my husband.

I will sometimes start an activity that I think will be really entertaining for my child, just to have him start to throw a fit or wander off when I am having fun! Other times, it will be the most mundane thing and he is ecstatic! Sometimes it is just the simplest things that bring people joy...even children.
