Three ideas to combat Gun Violence in Schools is to integrate a wholistic approach that includes the parents, research and survival tips in a non intrusive way, and having nothing to do with the second amendment.
1st. Institute a Family Communication program- that will provide a cooperative relationship. Must get more involved and make visit to the home with teaching specialist or counselors
(Use email, phone calls, Video Conferencing,Family Home visits )
2nd. Bully Training- Institute more methods to detect bullying and suicidal signs including having internet specialist to detect student information put freely out on the net.
3rd. Survival Training for students and staff- Ideas on what to do and things to look for in crisis situations.
Following and Enhancing these areas will help any school detect students who are having trouble and may present a problem that needs to be addressed.
This is what schools can do to lesson the possibilities that someone among their school can be a loner on the nerve of breaking and no one knows it.

I have a better solution, Once I became a parent, I will homeschool my kids, You may say I wont be able to teach all subjects, but I can hire a teacher right? I know there are Myths on how Home schooled kids are socially awkward but the homeschooled kids I met are very social , smart and have a high self esteem. I just dont trust the traditional education system anymore.

You are among the many parents that are attempting to home school their children not willing to taKE A CHANCE IN THIS WILD MYRIAD OF A COMUNITY THAT THE SCHOOL IS APART OF.
Home school does not have the advantages of a physical social network of which a school is but with a structure curriculum a student can still be successful.
