Climate vs Money

So, we all know that there is a problem concerning the global climate. I've recently read an article which compared the amount of coverage something like the fiscal cliff gets v. the amount of coverage our climate destruction. According to recent reports the state that our climate is in is just catastrophic. There is a system to measure population with a scale from 0 to 500 with 300 being hazardous to your health. This system is now being challenged and will most likely be removed because there are places with which the scale is at 700! If you look at some images online of places like Beijing you can see that it looks like a thick fog in the city, sometimes you cannot even see the city with a satellite because of the cloud of pollution over the city. How much is climate covered in our society compared to the fiscal cliff? Fiscal cliff was on almost every news channel, taxes are going to up for the rich, the world is ending... and how much is climate covered? Maybe one or two stories about it a month on some minor channel. Ridiculous how our society and news networks are based on money and they're not interested in covering anything that doesn't relate to money.
