If you have a chance to see this movie "The Impossible", I would highly recommend it. As I watch it last night, it was something I might cry for. During the year of 2004, natural disaster like tsunami in Southeast Asia devastated million of homes, and thousands to thousands of lives were taken. This story was about a family from Europe travel to Thailand and involuntarily taken by tsunami during their staying. Father and mother were taken apart, during their search after surviving the disaster, they finally reunited at the end. It was a heart thrilling movie, and also telling us to treasure our closed ones everyday. When you knew you gotta lost them, you might regret you didn't do enough before.

I saw that movie on DVD. I didn't think it would be that moving. I thought it was a low budget movie. But, I liked it a lot, and even shed some tears, especially that part when the brothers got reunited.

Yes, it is a great movie! The movie was written by the survivor herself, Maria. My family and I watched it on 16th January 2013 and we highly recommend it! It is really worth the money and time. There is two scenes that really touching and the tears going to roll off from our eyes. When the father called home and he burst out crying .... audience can feel how he felt at that time. Another scene is when the sibling reunited .... it is one of the best scene! full of emotion, joy and love. We learned to appreciate our love ones more, live life to the fullest and do not take things/anyone for granted.

I saw this movie a few weeks ago and the first thing that came to my mind is that I will not want to travel to a country that is so backward that the people cannot cope with such a disaster. It was so chaotic at the hospital and I often wonder if the victims may have suffered more being in the hospital. It's truly an inspiring story and I felt so relieved when the family was finally reunited especially after the father almost lost his two young boys who were just six and four years old, I think.

I haven't seen the movie yet but the previews looked good. It does seem like it would be a really emotional movie. It was based on a true story wasn't it? I'd like to see it soon but I'll probably not get to see it till it comes out to rent.
