have you seen this show where people have an online relationship with someone and then they meet the person they have been talking to online and it turns out to be someone completely different. have you ever experienced this yourself. I would be very scared to talk to someone online in a relationship way. never know who is on the other side.

I've seen the show and some times it's the person that they think it is but most of the time it's not because people are scared to say who they really are.
Know I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone that I've never physically meet in person before because you are right you never know who they really are for all you know they are a killer.

i've seen some parts of the show and i found it interesting. i think some people are just not confident about themselves that they have to pretend they are someone else. but then there are those who intentionally want to deceive other people. that's why i don't fully really trust people i met in facebook unless i've seen them in real life.

People will intentionally deceive you weather they know you personally or not.

I have caught most the episodes of that show. It's pretty good, though sad that people are fooled by other people. I think the most shocking was the newest one where a guy was talking to what he thought was a blonde girl named Amanda for like almost 2 years and then when they went to meet "her" it was a gay black man. It turned out he was having a hard time being gay and kind of wished he was a straight female, but while wanting to feel bad for him, he still messed with someone else's life for almost 2 years. Most of those stories they never talked to the person on the phone. That right there is a red flag that it isn't who they say they are.

I have never see the show but I can imagine that in real life that happens more then people would like to admit. There is a commercial out right now about how this woman believes everything she reads on the internet then says she is going to go out with a french model and this creepy guy shows up....right like he's a model.

No I think people that start relationships online are taking a very big chance that that person is exactly who he or she claims to be. The thing with an online relationship is that that person can claim to be whatever they want to be & you would never know for sure if they were telling the truth. Many people already know this, but they are so lonely that they are willing to take the chance. That is a very sort of dangerous thinking, the kind f thing that could even get you killed. People today need to be much more cautious when starting relationships online. Just watch the news & see just how many people get murdered because they trusted someone they met online.

I havenĀ“t seen the show, but it doesn't surprise me that that happens. There are many creepy people online, who take advantage of those who are naive.
My advice would be not to engage in online relationships, but if you want to, make sure that you can trust the person who is on the other side of the screen.
