Hulu or Netflix

I've been thinking about getting either a Hulu or Netflix account so I can watch movies and tv series. Right now I use a website that I don't pay for and it has all tv shows and newly released movies. But I'd really prefer to make an account with a legal site so I can feel a bit better about watching movies.
I just don't know which site I should go with. I want a site that has tv series as well as movies. I've never had Netflix or any account before and so I'm not sure if either of these sites will have movies that just come out on dvd.
If anyone has had either of these accounts can you please let me know which you prefer?

I personally prefer Netflix. That is what we have and I love it! There is something on there for everyone in my family to enjoy and the plan we have is only $8 per month. It is really worth it to me! =) We are happy with it. We don't have cable so we use Netflix a LOT. I recommend it any day.

Thanks! The plan really isn't that expensive and I know you can choose from a bunch of tv series. My boyfriend had it on his xbox for a little while and it was great. The only thing I didn't like was the movie selection....they were either old movies or the poorly made movies that went straight to dvd. I was wondering if the online movie selection would be different and a bit more up to date.

Oh it's not that way now. They do have older movies but there are new ones on there too. At least new to us, we don't go to the movies much so they might be old to you, Lol. I didn't think of that! Lol. But there are tons of movies on there that we have never seen before.

Hi CourtKnee. I watch Netflix. I watch it online through my TV. I have a little ROKU box that allows me to watch it on my TV.
What's this free account? I've never found a good free account. I have CBS.com for my soaps. But I wish I could see American idol online.

I might go with netflix. If I make an account, I'd be able to watch it from my xbox, computer, and I can download the app for my phone and ipad so I could have tv everywhere.
The site I use now is called movie2k.to and it has pretty much all tv series and it also has links for new, old, and movies still in theaters

Go for netflix because they have both movies and television series. I'm not sure what the prices are for both of them but I think that netflix is the better one to go with. I've only used hulu for a little while now because me and my girlfriend are using their free trial. Either way both services are fairly affordable but I think netflix is better because it has movies as well.

I think both run about the same price. I'll probably end up going with netflix because everyone is saying it has movies too. I didn't know that hulu didn't have movies.

I have used netflix before and like it. I would definitely recommend trying one of their free membership trials. I also signed up for amazon prime a few months ago and have been watching the instant videos and Tv shows that are included with membership. For new movies though, I am a fan of redbox. There are redbox locations all over my town and renting a movie from there is so much cheaper than going to the movies. But I think a lot of newer movies are available at redbox before netflix.

I have never used Hulu but I signed up for a free trail of Netflix and couldn't sign up fast enough.

I have heard of Hulu. I have never tried it out for myself. I do not have any friends or family who subscribe to Hulu either so I do not have any information to give to you on that site unfortunately. I do enjoy netflix and I have many family members and friends that do as well. Netflix is an inexpensive way to enjoy both movies and television shows on your computer and other devices.

I'm with Netflix! Before they made the big change I loved it even more. The reason is because u could movies mailed to u without having to pay extra. Now I u want to watch something that isn't being streamed u would have to pay an extra $8 a month. Before u could enjoy a movie or DVD for just $8 a month now if u want that u would have to pay $16. I wish they would've made that big change but they have their reasons I guess.
But besides that I'm satisfied with Netflix!

Me and my husband stream for netflix which is really nice because then we don't have to wait for the movies to sent to us we can just look for them on the tv throw our xbox360 or our wii and watch them. It's also nice for our kids too because a lot of the shows they like to watch they have on netflix as well. It's worth the $8 a month I think for all the movies and tv show's you want to watch. Some times Hulu doesn't have what we are looking for which is a pain so we just netflix stuff.

I've tried Hulu before & I didn't like it. You pay a membership fee & yet you still have to deal w/ commercials(unless they've changed this since I used it). I prefer Netflix. They have different membership packages that you can chose from, depending on what you can afford & their instant play is excellent. They have a lot of movies & TV series to choose from. My best advice to you is to try out Netflix. In my opinion it is much better than Hulu.

We've had Netflix for years. The price isn't too bad and if you get the movies by mail they are really quick. The streaming is pretty good too. Alot of older movies but there is some newer ones too. They are also really easy to deal with. We had a movie come broken and they sent a new copy out right away. Also had a problem trying to get a movie that the local center didn't have so they had to order it from another center. They sent us an email explaining the delay on the movie and also gave us an extra movie that month to make up for the wait. Their customer service is really nice and easy to deal with. We had our mail stolen all that was left was the covers for the movies. They were really nice about it and didn't charge us anything for the stolen movies also reset the movies that day and we recieved them the next day.
