I really don't like the habits which certain people have. My father for instance has a
habit of not listening to people . Also some People have habits like they snore while sleeping.
What do you think about these habits. Do they irritate you or the People irritates you?

I also don't like snoring, but, shame, they can't help it. People not listening when one is talking is just plain rude. Another habit that irritates me is when I am in the middle of a sentence or a story and someone interrupts and starts a whole new conversation. Very annoying and extremely rude.

It really feels bad when someone interrupts you in the middle of something . But you can't help it sometimes. I generally ignore it.

Your habit of not answering text messages is one thing that irritates me, valorie. Not replying to a text can be misconstrued as being unethical.
So, why aren't you answering the texts sent to you, when you have a load to do so?

Waaah! Hahaha! I dunno how to react to this. I'm not really irritated to people who snore when asleep but I don't like the sound of it. However, when I'm dog-tired I have the tendency to snore when I'm asleep. At first, I didn't believe it because you wouldn't really know if you're snoring or not when you're sleeping but most of my friends say I have a tendency to snore especially if we came from doing strenuous activities.
The habit that I hate the most is breathing heavily on the phone. I really don't like the sound of it. Every time I talk to someone on the phone and the person breathes heavily, I don't like to continue the conversation anymore. I just don't like the sound of it. I try to make the conversation short as possible.

Most people do that on the phone. Maybe they're just not aware of it. Hahaha!

Amazing to know that. This is the most new habit I have ever heard of. But it is true I myself feel the same way.

Yes, I do get annoyed with all this bad habits.
For example, my mum likes to grumble about the old
same things over and over again. My husband likes to
talk nonsense, staled jokes that is not funny at all!
My sister who likes to get all the credits and control
people's lives. These people did not realised of their
bad habits and at times I just Can't tolerate anymore.
I truly hope I do not have annoying habits. I think my
bad habits is talk too much!

Well it is not a bad habit in my opinion. Being talkative is good as you can speak your mind. You are right in the sense that some of your relatives are a real nuisance when they have bad habits. LOL!

We must listen people and then comment. Impatient people do not listen and they comment before finishing the speech of the speaker. We can avoid it by controlling our patience. But snoring is a physical problem. Without medical advice or treatment, it cannot be overcome. Have a very nice day.

Right impatient People do not listen to us and simply answer. At times it is irritating also. But do you really think that Snoring is only a physical problem?

Oh, I hate snoring! OK, I rarely do, too, but that's only when I'm sick, and I do it silently... but if I was snoring really loudly, I would try to find a cure for it. Unlike my parents... sometimes I can't sleep because of them snoring way too loud.
There are loads of bad habits I hate... or they might not even be habits. I can't stand when someone's really late, especially if we arrange a meeting outside to a place where there are usually shady people or when it's cold. I also hate people who have no manners, especially in a restaurant, on an event (like a graduation ceremony or a wedding), in the theatre or cinema. Like talking on the phone, eating crispy snacks, shouting. Or when they took little toddlers to events the toddler don't even perceive, and as they can't sit straight for 45 minutes, they become weary and woozy and they start crying - I mean, when I pay for my ticket for a (not children's) play, I wanna enjoy it instead of hearing a 2-year-old whining... which is not the kid's fault, but the parent's.
I also hate people blowing up, bursting and popping gum or chewing them with their mouth wide open, especially while talking. Or groups of people stopping in the middle of the street talking. And people not washing hands after the toilet.

Snoring is not a habit- no one wants to snore and disturb other people's sleep.
What annoys me are those people who mind other people's business but never know how to clean their own surroundings first before gossiping others mess.

Thanks for this discussion.Welcome to mylot. Each of us have different habits, some may not like them. Some have habits they are not aware of.
Many snore in sleep, it is bad for others who are near, but they can't stop it.

My husband sometimes snores in his sleep and I would literally have sleepless nights sometimes. And also, he grinds his teeth! I would wake him up in the middle of the night and let him sleep face down.

I believe habit is something you can do or you can't do.
Your first example is a habit. Your day not listening. But I guess your second example is not a habit since snoring is not a choice but person. It's a disorder and a person can't even decided whether to snore or not. hehe I hope you give an excuse on that. It's irritating to hear people snore, but I also pity them because they can do nothing about it :)

The first night I slept with my husband and find out about his snoring habit, I was so pissed off because I can't sleep. he told me about his habit but I thought it's just a normal snore, I never knew what a normal snore is for a man until I was with him! The irritating habit I have according to my husband is leaving the phone anywhere and left the messages or calls unanswered.

Indeed it is irritating to have the habit of not listening to people. You can be misconstrues as either deaf or of ill manner.
But snoring while sleeping, if it is your spouse, you can just tap him/her so she/he could change position.
That's what my husband does to me and i to him, when we snore.

Yeah there are bound to be habits that other people have that will irritate us. I for example snore when I'm sick which makes it hard for my husband to sleep. Usually then it is best for him to try and fall asleep before I do. That way the snoring doesn't keep him up.

Of course, one that irritates me so much is person yawning so loud. I think it is very rude... and I felt offended because seems like this one wanted me to get out of the room. I also hate the habits of digging nose. LOL or picking nose, I think that's very gross. I can stand people who removes food stuck between teeth but never nose pickers. LOL
