It was months and months of hard work, editing done by four different people and now my book has been printed. I had the copy in my hand the other day and it felt wonderful! In writing my biography, it brought back sad memories, but it also showed how I overcome and hopefully I will be able to encourage many women...

wow, i always wish i could see my name on the book shelves in the library or bookstore. i think i have to wait for more years to be able to see that in reality. book writing is indeed hardwork. i could imagine the effort and planning you put in this book project. once it is published, it is like seeing your new child as a baby. i wish you the best in your project.

The name of my book is 'Man, you pause'. I believed that I am facing menopause and did not understand really what was going on with my body and my emotions. To gain perspective, I started to write and soon discovered that to determine where I am going to, I had to go back and sort out a few things of the past. It was hard. It was sad and there were times that I just sat and cried. To continue my journey, I realized that a person had to 'pause' exhale, and carry on with life... eventually I had a book... hahaha!

Hi jricky1. Thank you for the good wishes. Why do you say that it is not possible for you to write your own book? If you have a story to tell, why not just start writing? Do not focus now on obstacles and money and heaven knows what. Just start writing....

I'm glad to hear that you finished your book. That is such a great accomplishment. It takes a lot of work to write a book. I have thought about writing a book but never have been able to allow myself the time to do it. Instead I just keep reading books and thinking about how great it would be to write one.

Everything in the book is true... that is what made it so difficult for me. It's not fiction - its hard truths and there were times that I was not sure how to continue...
After the last editing, I sat down - first with my husband, then first born, then second son, to ask them to read certain chapters....I sat with them so that they could ask me questions. I wanted them to understand everything before I would give it to the world to read... In allowing them to read those chapters, and providing them with answers, or explanations, my family grew closer and our bond is better than ever.

Hi MaylaJay. You say you never got a book finished... do you mean that you have started but should just continue? If you are not busy yet - please let me ask you to take up your pen and continue writing. There is no way you can just leave it half way, ok.

It was quite a journey! After each chapter I have added some pointers on how I overcame. I am sure that the readers will be able to relate to many of my experiences. I trust that those personal experiences will encourage the reader never to give up on life and to pursue.
