I can't agree enough with you, I have 7 animals (3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit, and 1 hamster), they all have their own personality, and you can tell this by their body language.

I lost my pretty Memo. I feel so sad now but somehow I still believe that she will come back to me. She is gorgeous with her pure white hairs with a black tail and black half of her face. She kissed me a lot on that night before she was gone. I had a sleepless nights from the time she left.

Oliver, the kitten in my avatar, KNOWS he's a person. After all, aren't I his mommy? He came to us at 7 days old. He has never spent a night since that time at any other place, not even the vet when he was fixed. Sure, the big cat in the avatar taught him how to be a cat, but he knows he's a person. Well, Rygel, the big cat, thinks he's a person to, just a different sort of person. Probably better too, since he is so smart. Booboo thinks he's a superior life form, but he'll let us man handle him, at least a bit. The roomie's great niece actually got him angry enough to take a swing at her, that's a first, he's generally good with kids.

I agree, My cat asks to go out the same time every afternoon! Its the time the children come home from school and he doesn't want to be petted by our daughter, so rain or shine he asks to og out

They say dogs look up to there masters, cats look down on them. I don't see cats like people, I see them as superior beings. Dogs have owners, cats have staff. If you have a good relationship with your cat, it's because it has trained you well.
