Discussion deleted due to ignorance...

MyLotters do not let this happen to you. It's heartbroken when a discussion gets deleted. Read through your guidelines and make sure you know the facts. Beware when you want to post a new discussion and refer to a previous discussion. When you post new discussions, make sure it is fresh and new and do not link it to anything else you have written in the past...

I just had one of my discussions deleted because of plagiarism! OMG I should really work on writing, and maybe paraphrasing and summarizing as well;) The rules are so strict I can't refer links too. xoxo.

Not nice at all. Be just very careful when you get info on the net. Make sure that you make it your own when you discuss, ok. Happy myLotting to you!

I got one deleted as well. I wasn't thinking it would be deleted when I wrote it but one out of many that I wrote was not bad. I am going to probably go discussion hunting tomorrow, kind of want to see whats out there.

It is not a nice feeling, hey...What are you looking at, or feeling - when you want to start a new discussion? Or is it easier to add onto other people's discussions?

So that is important - never ask people to 'go look'... I wonder if there is any other way to get information to people without violating the guidelines...

Yes, that's why we always have to check the guidelines before posting our discussions. When we respond, we should also be aware if the posted discussion didn't violate something. I don't respond to similar discussions. I'm scared of getting my response and comments deleted. Though sometimes it's hard to determine if the discussion will get deleted or not.

Just read what Mavic123456 said about posting discussions that gets deleted. We are not always 100% sure... it is not always easy to determine. Bottom line is that we do not give up talking to each other. Reading the guidelines do protect us in a way!

I remember when my discussion was deleted and getting 40 responses and highest rated and in top list also but deleted because of similar discussion from other user. I feel bad and sad.. But learn a lesson before starting new discussion search in mylot search engine and check this is similar or not.

Oh my goodness. I have never done that. I have never checked if there are similar discussions like the one I want to post... I have just started a new discussion, and I think I should stop in my tracks and go check it out. Thank you so much for this advice!!

Hmm i think if we make a discussion about our life it will be safe. I know it is not fun anymore if our discussion got deleted.

Ha i talk a lot about my life in mylot but i never share my secret here. Even sometime we just get a few responses but it is better than our discussion got deleted because we will lose our earning if our discussion got deleted.

Good idea. Our life... or some nice gossip story... On second thought - gossip will not work. I think the other myLotters know everything abut our lives already... haha. We will have to think out something really, really interesting to talk about WITHOUT getting into trouble!Enjoy your day!

you know Miss Dee, it is not really ignorance.. sometimes I wonder if i need to answer to a certain discussion or not for it may just be deleted for some violations which I don't know, but when I thought I shouldn't then I will see that this post has been there in my interests for days, weeks already, meaning it was not deleted. It is really hard to know which is not or most likely to be deleted. so I just respond and comment back if needed. If it was deleted I don't blame the author for having it deleted, I am sure even he/she felt bad about it.

In the email myLot send me, it was clear that I should not have dragged my previous discussion into the present one. myLotters could go back and view and comment on the previous one as well, according to myLot, it was kind of wrong... And I did not see it that way.

Mavic123456, the minute we direct another person then we can land up in trouble. I am a bit confuse though, because I have seen people posting links... I will have to go read up on that.

When discussions get deleted it is because mainly of guideline violations, whether they posted a link in the discussion, started a duplicate discussion, or other violations. If more people would read the guidelines, then there wouldn't be so many discussions deleted. As far as duplicate discussions is concerned, it is very easy to start a discussion ona topic that has been discussed before, as there are so many discussions on here, that I am sure we have all done that a time or two. I try to make sure I don't make any duplicate discussions, and as far as I know, I haven't duplicated any. I did have one discussion deleted, and I realized afterward, that it might be deleted, because it ended up being a poll question, and I knew better too. It really didn't matter though, as it wasn't much anyway, and I knew I could make it up. I just come in here to have fun and learn and not worry about my earnings. I seem to do better when I do that. Take caare, and have fun.

Thank you rosekiss. That is exactly where I went wrong. I referred back to my other discussion and messed it all up. Perhaps this had to happen for now I know not to make the same mistake again. I will also stay away from links.

Though I do think that there are some things that you can do to help to ensure that your discussions will not be deleted, I also think that because of the fact that we are all humans, there will be some times that we will accidentally start a discussion that will ultimately end up getting deleted for one reason or another. With all of that said, I do think that we shouldn't let it hurt our feelings too bad when a discussion that we've started gets deleted because this isn't something that is going to happen every time that we start a discussion.

This morning I was sad because I received a nofication that my answer was deleted because of violation to the rules. First time that happened to me. Most usually my answer is being deleted because the question which ii was under was deleted. I am very careful in following guidelines but this one I was careless I think and I will be more careful the next time around. Have a nice day!

Same story here... But it's not your fault hey. I still feel ok when I receive emails to say that my answer has been deleted - I can still deal with that. It hurts when a discussion started is deleted...

My 2nd discussion was also deleted because I haven't read of the terms. But now I am glad I know better. Thank you. ;)

I wonder if we should not ask one of the experts here. Let me just make sure I understand you correctly: are you asking how we are getting paid when you refer to the currency meter? Let me know and we can answer you ok.
