Us President Obama, gave an unapologetic speech yesterday.
Promises, promises and more promises.
He claims the next 4 years years will be marked by a more assertive approach.
Their words are always so nice to hear, but we know they wont stick to them.
I hope for my friend sin the usa, and my future home there... all will be better this time around.
4 more years of him, what can be worse? Peina Nieto as mexico president for 6 more years is the only worse than that.

He doesn't has to give an 'apologetic' speech, he just won his re-election bid for the white house. USA is a democracy, even as a chief executive, he can't push every single one of his personal agenda through the government like in a dictatorship, many of his policy and program still need the cooperation of a lame duck congress for approval willingly; if that is what you means by more assertive approach. All the world successful politicians can say nice words and speech for you and me to hear, it is one of the most essential skill every successful career politician must have, whether those words of his will stick or not down the road in the US, the outcome of the re-election result had spoken by itself. Majority of the voters here had delivered their verdict on that, you don't have to worry much about that.

That is right, he can't get every single one of his demands met in his first term with an Uncooperative congress at the side, some of them require congressional power to put in place. But compare to his predecessor, he did a lot better job as a president even though it is not perfect. Sometime political reality doesn't always turn out in the exact way you want it to be, majority of the voters had forgiven him on that, they are not complaining at all neither should you as a Mexican.

His motto should be "more of the same"
He's no different from the spew of presidents we've had as of late, who practice the old, "say what they want to hear, do something completely different" ideology.

Women being equal to the vices of men, I suppose that does makes them equal. Same with race, if there is equality based on the vices, I suppose that is equality.
I still think that the best president that the USA ever had was George Washington, he was willing to sacrifice, did not want to be king, he grew tired of politics and being the President and longed to go home. Now a days, politicians want to be in the limelight and want to be celebrities.
I was hoping for better from President Obama, than so many of the other presidents. But he does know how to give good speeches and he does know how to tell people what they want to hear. And he does have a nice smile. He does look good on camera. I suppose for many, that makes him better.

hi maria I think Obama is a heck of a lot better than George bush and he was the one who got the economy so rotten and now Obama has to try to fix it and maybe he will do better this year. I am so hoping anyway and right you will be one of us soon too. i hope for all our sakes the economy will pick us up and my son can get on full time in stead of half time and my friends son can get a job again.so far its been so bad here in
Southern California its just sad.

I didn't hear his speech for his inaguration but I had a good idea what it was going to be about. And once again for the next 4 years I don't plan to see much of a change either. Nothing different, so I just wait and sit back hoping that these 4 years fly by so someone else can come in office.

I think the only change for the next 4 years is Michelle's hairdo. I like her hair either way, so don't see the improvement. It was just a change.
I think a lot of Americans are trying to buckle down and do what we can, just to survive.
I think politicians are turning into celebrities. So much money on campaigning and party time. So, I am no longer donating to political campaigns or anything political any more.
I think politicians should have the attitude of serving their country. Serve two terms only and then, go home and let others take on the responsibility of leading this country. But, instead they think they are royalty or a celebrity and think they are entitled to all the perks, and to remaining in the limelight for as long as possible.
My heart goes out to all the military who are genuinely serving our country and willing to sacrifice for the sake of our protection and freedom (of what is left of our individual freedoms). I have a great deal of respect for our troops. They really understand what it is to serve and sacrifice.

I think obama speech is too good to be true. It just like the dream never come true. I don't think with 4 years more obama become president, U.S will become better. I think U.S will become worse. Because Obama is just like atheis. In the speech, He say " He will equalize approve to same gender relationship". I don't like his speech yesterday, just a lying speech. Many people in U.S is been blind by him. I hope help him to find the right way to rule U.S.

Worse than him would have been Romney who does not have any interest in doing anything for America. Obama might not be the best, but he is still less of a nightmare than that one. I predicted long time ago that in inauguration speech Obama would make more promises. We humans do not get charged tax for saying whatever we like after all . But yes, that is all. I will not expect to see any improvement anywhere.

I honestly can't say who would be a better president. I honestly couldn't trust Romney as much as Obama for the main reason of the constant fact-checking for both of them. Sure, Obama did make a few lies, but Romney was blatantly doing it to get everyone's trust, and it worked for a lot of the richer group.
I still have to wait until next year to vote though, and I know that Romney won't be in it, or so I believe.

I think many felt like that, one was better than the other one. Take care there.
