Designer labels

Are you impressed with designer labels? I know people who always have to show off by talking about their designer items. They just won't say their shoes or watch or pocketbook. They will say my Luis Vitton or Gucci or Tag Heuer just to brag. Designer names don't impress me. My $20 watch and $20 shoes work just as well as their $200 items and look just as good...they just don't have a big name on them. What do you think?

Designer items does reflect a social status, however one cannot comply on such lifestyles because they are far way expensive and only been used by those “elite” and can-afforded people.
However, such items are far made by authentic craftsmanship but still they blind their clients by their reputation most especially in the fashion industry resulting that one pays them high by buying their name rather than buying the item itself. Since it has been a social statement, one look up on someone who owns such garments because they would assume that they are rich because they can afford such items.

When I had my eldest son, life wasn't that difficult. I could buy myself a lot of things. And yes, sometimes, I did buy some expensive stuff. But times have changed. I do like looking at designer clothes and all, but of course, I'd rather use my money for my kids' needs than buy myself a pair of pants that costs $150...

When people do this agree with them. Tell them how lucky they are to have those. It's not as much fun for them because you don't show how aggravated you are. It's just a jealousy thing they're looking for and any reaction from you is what they want. Designer names don't impress me either. This drives them crazy if you don't fall for the trap.

I'm gonna buy what I like, regardless of the logo or the brand name. I own some semi-designer items for the luxury feeling of it, but I'm not a fashion victim by any means. I see how these brands rip people off and sell stuff for ridiculous prices, a similar version of which can be found in a mall store for a lot cheaper...
