Why is it called group work anyway?

I have always been the leader when it comes to group works, most of the time. I learned from the years I spent in college that you should never rely on your members. You should have the initiative to do the work yourself. I was told by someone that once became my group member that I like doing things all by myself. I just can't tell her that I don't want to waste my time and effort giving you tasks that you never do.
Most of them are just insensitive, they don't care if you do all the work and they're getting the credits for it. It's unfair for me,really. I wish I had members that are thoughtful and do whatever is assigned on them..

The infamous group works at the university... I knoooow, I know. There was ONEW occasion when it was actually group work. Other times, everyone was sending stuff after deadlines, people didn't care about their tasks, didn't take any part in the actual presentation citing that they feel awkward in front of an audience (I do, too, there's no person with a more humungous stage fright than me, but I actually forced myself to talk, because if no one does it, it's not a presentation, and we're all gonna get bad marks)...
Well, they are called group work, because they intend to teach us for working in a team, but most people just don't care...

I admire you for having the ability to do well what is assigned to you. You have the potential for becoming great. As you continually explore and grow in your leadership skills, you'll come to know how to delegate tasks that they are willing to do. It is a reality that in order for a person to lead others, he must trust them. Lack of trust will build animosity between the member and the leader. I know you can lead. If you are in the right business with your kind of attitude and willingness to grow, you will become rich and wealthy, where you can help more.
