Soursop fruit is native to Mexico, Latin American countries and South east Asia. Philippines, Indonesia grow them extensively. Apart from being consumed in the form of juices its also used as ice-cream flavouring. Cancer Research institutes are in research have found that the ingredients of the fruit counter the cancerous cell growth 10,000 times effective than chemo-therapy itself. No wonder people who have been eating this fruit since the generations dont suffer from cancer. I hope this article will help you explore ways of developing eating habbiits that will act as prevention against malicious diseases and health dis-orders.

"Cancer Research institutes are in research have found that the ingredients of the fruit counter the cancerous cell growth 10,000 times effective than chemo-therapy itself." No! This is a hoax and seems to have been circulating the Internet for quite a while. It probably originated with a company involved in selling this very over-rated fruit at a high price. The 'research' referred to was a small study which tested extracts from a tree related to the soursop tree (Graviola species) in vitro. It used extracts from the bark and leaves of the tree NOT the fruit and it tested the extracts on cancer cells in a test tube. All that is a VERY different thing from eating the fruit or drinking the juice of a related species! Please see this article for the real truth: http://www.hoaxorfact.com/Health/graviola-tree-10000-times-stronger-killer-of-cancer-than-chemo.html Soursop can actually lead to Parkinson-like symptoms and other problems if it is eaten regularly.

Indeed soursop is not ok for people who have Parkinson tendency. I doubt the legitimacy of hoaxorfact. What is their basis of argument?

The article I quoted from HoaxOrFact has links at the bottom which corroborate and justify all of the statements they make. I notice that you have not included ANY links at all to justify the off-the-wall figure of "10,000 times [more] effective than chemo-therapy" which you appear simply to have copied blindly from one of the many fake emails without even bothering to check your facts. It is fake, pseudo-scientific stories like the one you reproduce which are FAR more dangerous than the often relatively harmless (and ineffective) ingredients they seek to promote because it is inaccurate information like this which may actually prevent or discourage people from seeking proper medical treatment until it is too late.

@xocolatedrool...I would simply like to ask you the same question you have asked "owlwings"...What is the basis for you making this statement? Can you supply a link to a scientific article or a medical study for us to peruse? Without some reliable data, I fear that a blanket statement like this, with no back-up gives false hope to persons suffering Cancer...!!!

If you uncle has a tumor, I would also suggest that you feed him a cup, 3 times a day turmeric tea. Wishing your uncle good health.

We visited the Philippines a few years ago. We loved all the tropical fruit! Soursop 'feast' was one of our great adventures in the Philippines. We can't get them here in my country. Soursop is rich in cancer-fighting Vitamin C!
soursop are amino acids, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), calcium, carbohydrates, fibers, iron, niacin, phosphorus, riboflavin and thiamine
