This is what you get when you force yourself to sleep even when you're not sleepy. You'll end up not sleeping at all and you'll just get yourself a headache and more stressed out. I'm just staring at the computer wanting to write something that is in the back of my mind yet I can't fathom what it is. I hate this feeling at all. Having something wrong yet not rteally able to determine what's wrong. Or maybe I just need some sleep? Problem is I can't get myself to even take a nap for 30mins.
I guess I'll just stay here and stare at the monitor till I get bored. Do you guys have anything to suggest that's worthwhile while waiting for sleep to come back? :)

That's too bad. I have had this experiece and it's really awful because the following day yu're expected to do a lot but the headache and tiredness is crouching over you the whole day. I can't remember the effcetive ways I did but here are some I did whenevr this happens: I watch a movie, a TV series (it has many episodes), surf teh internet, join myLot as long as I can, do something that makes me tired, never eat chocolate or drink anything that has caffiene/choco flavor, or sometimes just turn off all the lights and make the room as quiet as possible.
I don't know which one was effective but definitely one of them works. If ever this happens again, try to go back to the activities or food that you took that caused this can't sleep moments. It's not good for our health. Enough sleep is important to whoever and whatever age we are.

Hi! Thank you for your suggestions. I'll take note of these moving forward. Don't worry about the caffiene part because my system is immune to it. Hahaha! I can drink three to five glasses of coffee a day and still sleep soundly. When I couldn't sleep, I drink a glass of coffee and that can make me relax and go back to sleep. My friends would often ask me how I can still manage to sleep after drinking lots of coffee. To be honest, I don't know either. Hahaha!

I totally agree with what you feel, because I also feel and experience at this time.
Who knows what makes me acts like this, maybe just thingking about how to make money from Mylot, because every post or comment will be commission $ ..? Hehehe
But I guess not, because I have a steady job and produce.
Perhaps, I think of my own, or maybe I think of my parents, I might about my family, I thought may be my lover, may be I thought my friends, I might about what will happen tomorrow, mybe I was thinking would what happen day after tomorrow, maybe . . . . maybe . . maybe . . . I don't know, because I was thinking too much, so do not really know what I really think.
Maybe it was that made my brain still reluctan invited to rest.
So, Enjoying this time, because this time will pass and remembered in the future, nothing is endless, and there's nothing that isn't passed.
Interesting post, continue and spirit always . .

Hahaha! The part where you think about your myLot earning made me laugh. No offense meant but I have wondered about that too. I mean I wondered if there are people out there who think about how much they are going to earn for posting this and that topics and responding to this and that topics. Hahaha! I even imagine if they have figured our a point-system for their earnings here. Anyway, thank you and have a good one! :) Happy myLotting!

i suggest to watch a movie. this usually helps me. or you could read a book. that puts me to sleep really fast, because i am not that big of a reader anymore. if not, maybe you could try a sleep aid.

Hi! :) Good day! The movie helped. Hahaha! Thanks for suggesting that! It made me while away my time until I felt sleepy again. Speaking of reading, it used to be my favorite past time but I just lost interest in it. Reading is good, I'm just not very much into it nowadays.

That is what happening in my case if I need to sleep then I can't sleep right away. The next day it is hard to wake up as I want to sleep more.

I hate being in that situation where you can't sleep but you really wanted to that no matter how hard you close your eyes still it doesn't work.. well when that times happen again to me what I do is just read.. or get my tablet or cellphone and play something that will entertain me..I know sooner or later I will get sleepy when I do this things..

Do you siesta everyday? If so, try to stop fiesta, and drink 2 glasses of milk before you get to sleep. Drinking milk is very helpful to get easy sleep. One more thing, I've ever heard that the electrical screens can make us difficult to sleep. Don't do activities that looking for computer screen or mobile cellphone screen before you want to sleep. May this helpful for you to have a good sleep at night.

That's new to me. I know milk can help you get good sleep but I stopped drinking milk long time ago. I prefer coffee more than milk today. I can live without milk but not without coffee. I can even go to sleep immediately after drinking a cup of coffee.
Anyway, I never knew about the effect/s of electrical screens to sleep. That maybe is the reason why I sometimes end up not sleeping at all every time I am so sleepy but I still keep browsing social networking sites on my mobile phone. I used to tell a friend about this and she said she's noticed the same effect to her. Even if her eyes voluntarily close, if she keeps browsing through her mobile phone, she'll suddenly feel so much awake.

Hello there. I would advice you don't force yourself to sleep. If you are not sleepy but tired. Just get on to the internet. Work or play some games so that you busy yourself and forget the fact that you are not sleepy, when you start getting more tired and your eyes get stressed as well you will feel sleepy. Or read some book, reading definitely brings sleep. Just don't pressurize on the fact that you are not going to get sleep, so what you should do. This is going to stress you more as it frustrates you. This happens to me sometimes when i am thinking a lot about somethings or i am stressed about something. Or if i am hungry a lot.

The best thing would be ton relax your mind. do not think of problems. Much better to think of positive events.

Sleeping is partly a habit. If you Always go to bed at the same time you will sleep that is for sure. You won't sleep if your mind is too busy, if you are too excited or you have a lot of problems or feel sick or too tired. What you should do is some relaxing time before you go to bed. Using the computer, watching tv etc is not good before you go to bed. Drink some water against the headache, close down your computer, sit in the dark (so the brains can rest) go to bed, have positiv thoughts (or dreams)... good night!
