After the first two nights of Idol 2013, I'm already warming up to the new judges. I have always liked Mariah Carey and Keith Urban. I wasn't familiar with Minaj except for her wild outfits and wild hair. Underneath the glitz and glam though, she seems very sincere and genuine. I can already tell that she is going to be the one that tells it like it is...if a contestant doesn't really have the talent, she jumps right in and tells them. I'm glad to see Randy Jackson back, as the glue that holds it all together. One judge from last year that I will really miss is Steven Tyler. He was one of the tops in music in my younger years, and I was so excited when I found out that he was going to be a judge last year. American Idol really re-ignited his career, and I'm glad for him that he is back out on the road touring, and too busy to be a judge again this year. I hope he comes to my area for a concert someday!
