I've been working with English for 5years since my graduation in 2007. Now I am a full-time translator in the current company which is my second job. I worked with a great passion in my first company though have so many works to do every day, and I have to spend 2 hours at least on the road. During thoses days, I worked vigorously every day and I felt self-esteem. But now, I'm in a state-owned company which considers talent as who has prop from the upper institution, no one cares ur ability but ur background. I tried hard to improve me in order to obtain the same self-esteem as in my previous company. But unfortunately, My translaton work especially the paper work had been seen by no one, it is just a certain thing which should be there, so I have no passion at all. For some reasons, I cannot let go at present, but I do will go out for my dream someday. So do u think passion is the first thing for work? By the way, there r four old men in my office who r talking about the low-income, low self-insurance over and over again every single day. I hate hearing them repeat eveyday, how can I ignore them?

I think that you should always be passionate with the work that you do. Coz if not, I do not think that you can be productive with your job or even have the opportunity to grow as a person.

U'r right, for my work I became less and less productive, but in the state-owned company, no one cares productive, that's why I think I am becoming pessimistic now. And it needs time to re-stand.

Sometimes we have to go through something and be in a situation where we set aside our dreams first. We take on that situation so we can reach our dreams. Sometimes it's fate's way of saying "this is the situation where you should prepare for your dreams". Some people maybe lucky enough to get to their dreams easily. Maybe because they were too not caring about the situation that they have to go through as long as they get through it. Don't worry that much. If it's still painful, then the journey to your dreams is not over yet. If the pain gets more painful, then it's a sign that you are moving towards your goal. Or at least you are moving.
