I understand your feelings. The Chinese New Year is the most important festival for Chinese. Especially some people work in another city and therefore they want to go home during this festival. I was born in grow up in Guangzhou. But my husband's hometown is in Hunan Province. This is why it is a dilemma for us because his family is there but my family is here. But most of the time we are still in Guangzhou since everything will be much more convenient. We just went to his hometown once and I have to say it is so cold for me. I have to say that I don't like going there in the Chinese New Year because it is crowded. And it is also hard to buy a ticket. This year since he has relatives who will get married in the Chinese New Year. So he would go to hometown alone. I feel a little upset to it. But fortunately he will be back after several days.
